I finally decided to write my first book. And honestly, it feels like stepping into a room I’ve always been daydreaming of but never dared to enter. The beginning might not be perfect. She stood dangerously close to the edge; one more inch and she’d fall. “Um… maybe you should take a few steps back?” She turned to me slowly, confirming what I’d sensed—she was the most beautiful woman I had ever seen. Soft features, elegant cheekbones, rosy lips, a refined nose. At her throat was a moon-shaped tattoo glowing… faint blue?

Starting this book wasn't part of the plan. That day, my goal was to scroll through P*******t to find a cover for "GOOD SIN" since I wasn't able to afford a designer. But then, I saw a rainbow poem. And it was just... too emotional. I've always been neutral but the idea just came that day. I wasn't a big fan of MM or BL books and I knew it won't hurt to do something new so I started my first draft. The final kick in the ass was Goodnovel's contest. I applied and I wasn't really surprised when it passed the review because I worked for this.

Fortunately or unfortunately enough, I knew the answer to the first question but not to the second. Just when the rascal shifted, ran at an insanely fast pace and proceeded to pounce at us to kill us both, that is when I saw Her. A dangerous beauty. Yes that is what she was. A dangerous beauty- full of mystery and grace.

Her baby blonde hair frames her cute, round face, accentuating her lovely lips, nose, and captivating ocean-blue eyes. Yes, she’s pretty, fucking damn gorgeous, even, but unbearably clingy when it comes to my business, she altered my mind, all of my thoughts are about her. If it weren’t for her beauty, which I am compelled to protect for reasons only I can understand (and don’t bother trying to explain), I wouldn’t tolerate someone as dangerous as her being close to me. She’s lethal, and her clinginess has only sabotaged me. “Not yet,” I respond.

I snapped, glaring at him as he slid into the seat next to me, slamming the door shut. “You couldn't handle him in the ballroom without me stepping in,” Darien shot back, leaning back against the leather as the car launched up the concrete ramp and into the chaotic city traffic. “Your old life is done. The bookstore, the cheap apartment, the hiding—it’s over. Get used to it.” I turned my head toward the window, my heart thumping angrily against my ribs. Outside, the rain was starting to hit the glass again, blurring the gray New York streets. I looked down at the massive diamond on my finger, the metal feeling heavier with every passing second.

The rose he left outside my door haunted me for days, I kept it pressed between the pages of a book on my nightstand. Every time I passed Damián in the halls or felt his eyes on me during Xóchitl’s dinner, the memory of his low voice and the raw hunger in his eyes made my thighs clench. The tension had become unbearable that I barely slept. My body ached constantly, that no amount of self-touch could satisfy.

She slid the briefcase into my hand, heavy with stacked bills, crisp and fresh. I counted the bundles quickly, all clean and exact, the way I liked them. Then I handed her the broken phone.
