Adjoa closed her eyes briefly, trying to remember. Then quietly whispered— “Valerie.” The room went silent. Daniel’s entire expression changed instantly. Marcus noticed too. “You know that name.” Daniel looked away briefly. Too briefly. Ama’s stomach tightened. “Who’s Valerie?” Daniel hesitated. Which frightened her immediately. Finally— “Valerie Kane.” The name meant nothing to Ama. But Marcus cursed softly under his breath. “No way.” Ama looked between them anxiously. “Someone explain.” Daniel’s voice lowered dangerously.

He simply smiled for the camera. Daniel, on the other hand, was still missing. “Elena,” I said as I read the alert. “They got Victor. He’s going down for racketeering, fraud, obstruction, and human rights violations.” She didn’t cheer. She just closed her eyes. “One monster down,” she murmured. “One to go.” Daniel The jungle air was thick. His shirt clung to him. A false passport, a briefcase of crypto hardware wallets, and a single burner phone were all he had left.

“I take Riot, and they come home also. We both pretend none of this ever happened. We are her family after all.” My jaw clenched. I knew what he was doing. I asked shakily. For the first time, his expression changed. Not anger. Not arrogance. Something colder. “My name,” he said quietly, “is Daniel Vale.” Nobody recognized it. Except Nathan. Nathan went completely pale. “No,” Nathan whispered. Daniel smiled. “Oh yes. Now you remember.” Marcus frowned. “Who the hell is Daniel Vale?” Nathan looked sick. “He’s… Victor Zhou’s former business partner.” I blinked. “Your father’s?” Nathan nodded slowly. “Twelve years ago, my father framed him for embezzlement. Daniel lost everything. His wife committed suicide during the investigation.”
