he said quietly, almost to himself. From the eastern side, Mira Watersong lifted her arms gracefully, a shimmering veil of water swirling above the panicked citizens. When a stray bolt struck the shield, it dispersed harmlessly into ripples, leaving those below untouched. “You are safe,” she reassured, her tranquil voice cutting through the chaos like a lullaby. High above, Astra Skyreach blurred into motion, her body vanishing and reappearing midair with hawk-like speed. She intercepted multiple bolts at once, striking them apart with pinpoint martial precision before landing gracefully on the ground, her eyes sharp and unwavering.

"Your powers define you Azura. They are connected to your emotions, anger, sad, happiness. Your emotions can control your power. You just need to learn how to keep them at Bay." Wow, okay. "I don't even know what to call you. I mean from your voice, I know you are female. But a female what exactly? Who are you and what's your name?" Maybe we could start there. "My name is Lily. I am your spirit guide and I'm so happy to find out you are alive little princess. We all thought you were dead"

He said, sounding a bit distraught. I had a feeling what he really wanted to say would’ve gotten him in trouble. Byana sighed and leaned her head back, then side to side stretching. “Yes and no Shawn. It’s true that we helped Vasilios save his human mate. However, we gained a favor of similar weight in the process. Astraia may be a mere human but the fact that she is the Teman Sejiwa of a wolf king makes her special. How special I have yet to see, but I have no doubts that I will before this visit comes to an end.” Byana looked over at me and winked, making me feel extremely embarrassed.

He inclines his head slightly to hear her. Too slightly. My jaw tightens. Sia hums. “She might just drop dead if you keep glaring any harder.” “I am not glaring.” I said as I watched Astra go to the podium to perform the rituals to ask the moon goddess to bless the herbs. “You’re practically baring your teeth, Lar.” I scoff. “She can drape herself on whoever she likes.” “Mhm.” Sia said getting in my line of vision. “I mean it. I really don’t care.”

If that ends up being the case, both he and Bree will have their hands full. “No, actually you stay. It would be good to get your take on this.” I saw as relaxes back into the armchair a bit, while still keeping his elbows on his knees, like he’s already planning a strategy for whatever is going on. He’s a lot like Jacob in that respect, I realize. Like Jacob, Dax, while an adult, is also still young and is determined to do his job well (which he always does), taking things very seriously as to not be looked upon as a pup. That’s when she arrives. The woman who taught me about compassion, taught me how to care for a pack, also taught me how to fight, and how to make the best damn chocolate c

The knight who had been leading them drew his sword. And that's when Astra felt it—a sharp pinch on her neck. She reached up and pulled out a small dart. "Lyra?" she whispered as her vision began to blur. She turned to see her sister holding a small blowgun, a sad smile on her face. "Sorry, sister," Lyra said as Astra's legs gave out beneath her. "But there can only be one Moon Sister. And it's going to be me." The last thing Astra saw before darkness took her was Damon and Lyra standing side by side, looking down at her with matching looks of triumph.
