Seth called out as Alex walked over to stand beside him. Alex looked over at Danny, who was leaning against the passenger side door of the F-250. He was wearing a Mossy Oak camo hat and a black tank top. Perhaps a bit too light for April, but he never cared. In fact, it was the sort of outfit he seemed to wear all year round. “Where’ve you been today?” Alex asked Danny. Danny just rested himself against the truck door casually with his hands hanging in his pockets. There was no way he had been sick earlier. “Oh you know,” he began with a grin. “Couldn’t afford to come to school today.”

I squinted at him. “I’m sorry,” I said, “do I know you? You look familiar.” He grinned. “I’m Danny Fox. I’m an actor.” Donatello looked him up and down. “Oh, you’re in that show about the baseball player.” “Yeah.” “Great show,” he said, “you’re a very talented young man.” “Thank you,” said Danny, “you’re a very important guy, Donatello Vitore. You own half of New York. I saw the article about you on Forbes. Those Eco-Friendly apartments that your building are going to be the way of the future.”

Those were shots that would be the money makers, the ones their parents and adoring girlfriends and fangirls would want to purchase. Speaking of fangirls and girlfriends, I managed some amazing shots of Danny when he came out. One in particular that I knew Vanessa would love was of his flexing those massive biceps. I managed to get at least a dozen really good shots of him before the next player was announced and I was forced to move on to them.

Alpha Darren slammed down his cell phone when he got the report from the bodyguards guarding Diana that she was meeting with Fred. Although they also said that it was an accident, Alpha Darren was still irritated because the main point was Fred, not how they met. "As for the results" Canis stopped her speech when she saw her boss's expression become sour. "I'll come back later." "No Canis, just explain. I want to hear it now." That was how Alpha Darren distracted his mind by keeping himself busy. There was no doubt that right now he really wanted to go to Diana's place and kick Fred's ass. But if he did that, Diana would only hate him and be even more convinced to be on Fred's side.

"Hey, Fenton." Fenton looks at me. His broad smile wanes, and becomes curious. He gives me the look I’ve grown accustomed to receiving from men. It's the look that says they find me exotically beautiful, but choose to restrain their reaction out of respect for whatever man happens to be standing next to me. "Hi," Fenton says, offering a casual nod. "My name's Fenton." "Hi. I'm Dana," I reply politely. Fenton snaps his attention back to Alex, shaking his head in disbelief. "Dude, it's been a whole age since I last saw you. How is your sister Fanny doing?"

There it is, the reason why I didn’t want to talk - I’m easy to distract. “It doesn’t matter, really. Trust me. Anyway, just make sure you don’t move a muscle and you’ll be safe. If something attacks, I’ll deal with it. Oh, and by the way, since you’ve been asking - Fenton is no rogue. He might stink and look like one, but it’s for the show. That guy is dangerous. I might call him a demon of a sort, but the idiot never made it down there. Somehow, he found a loophole to stay here with humans. Fenton is a fallen angel. Pretty sure a more accurate term would be banished, but who’s asking. And now, shush, it’s getting closer to us.”
