Red Moon seemed like an odd name and didn’t really tell me anything about what it could be. Danny was watching me with interest. “Just call me when you can come over.” The sound of a mobile went off, and I realised it was his. He pulled it out and checked the caller ID. His face darkened a little. “Shit sorry Sophia, I need to take this. Call me soon, okay?” Not waiting for me to answer, he brought the phone to his ear. Standing up, he strode off with a confident swagger. My eyes fell back to the business card. My first commission. Not bad considering I was only 18 really. I took out my scarily empty purse, and placed it carefully inside the credit card sleeve.

I only nodded in response, unable to breath a word. "Beta Daniel let's go into my office and talk further." He insisted and left me all alone in the room for a few seconds before the friendly doctor came bustling in with a smile on her face and plate of food in her hands. My stomach grumbled loudly at the sight of food. I hadn't realised I was absolutely starving. "Luna, I hope you are satisfied with this selection of sandwiches. You need your energy." I wasn't sure how I felt about being called Luna but I guess it was something that I was going to get used to eventually.

Now, the boy she had always looked down upon, had exceeded the speed of the average 6 Star Beastman and had entered the ranks of the 7 Star Beastmen! “This…” Jack could not help but be surprised as well. Just like Sam he had access to a wide variety of information, and there was no one he was interested in that his family could not provide information on. However, Davies was his friend, and Jack knew him better than most people. He had duelled with Davies a number of times, and so had Aiden, but neither of them had seen Davies reveal such speed before. As he watched his friend appeared and disappearing around the battlefield like a spectre, Jack gained a new appreciation for the name Phantom

He has to be behind our inability to find an investor. . Before I can grab the doorknob, Camila’s front door is opened—leaving my hand hanging in the air. The face that greets me is not the one I was hoping to see. “Hello, Lilah,” Danny says, smiling. But I can tell it’s fake, even though the only light source is the moon. Danny is dark-skinned. His black hair is styled in a low cut, and he has a beard. The Dolce & Gabbana suit he’s wearing does little to hide his muscles. I’d be lying if I said he wasn’t ripped. To sum it up, Danny is a gorgeous man, but even with all his handsomeness, he is the worst romantic partner I have ever met—except Beau if I’m including that horrible human being in

“I understand. So, your night is ruined then?” Dillon could feel the urge to tease his best friend. But he still tried to stop himself. “Yes.” Dillon let out a soft chuckle, and if someone might see him, they couldn’t believe that he could laugh and smile. “Her fear is visible in her eyes.” “I see,” Dillon said faintly. Drake pinched the bridge of his nose and massaged his temple. “I see her strong aura on the outside, but she’s weak on the inside. I wonder what her wolf looks like.”

“I’m Danny, who are you?” The memory of his parents’ death flew back to him. “My family,” he choked, “They’re gone.” “They weren’t wolves,” a female whispered. “Look at his blue eyes!” “But he’s one of us,” a male quickly countered. “You saw him.” “Smell him.” The boy named Danny held up his hand. “We’ve heard of this happening.” To Darrell, he asked again, “Who are you? What’s your name?” He felt the cold earth under his palms as he supported himself, sitting up. “Darrell Grey.”

Danny lowers his eyes on his plate while I hold my cup up to shield my face. With a whisper, I get Arawn’s attention, and I shake my head. “Be nice. Please.” But he just scoffs, emptying his cup of coffee. “I have to make a phone call. Hurry up, Dan.” “Aam alrdy hwrrng.” Danny munches, looking like an abandoned puppy dog. Leaning forward, I get him to halt while looking at me. “Don’t be sad. We can do something fun next time.” He nods repeatedly, smiling happily, and I sit back up straight.

“I’m glad I got one.” “Good for you.” Danny smirks, leaning back in the tub, enjoying the warm water as it soothes his muscles. Tomorrow is going to be a long day. "See you in the afterlife, Mary. In hell, maybe." He lets out a quiet laugh, his lips curving into a smirk. But his eyes remain empty. Exhausted. "Loving someone is really hard."

Claire P.O.V Danny has been the Beta and Ethan Randall's right-hand man for nearly two decades. It's quite the perk for Danny; besides being the Beta, he knows the ins and outs of the money-printing business owned by the Alpha, the ruler of The Silver Fire Pack. Danny didn't answer my question immediately. He just stared at me with his light brown eyes—warm and bright colours, especially in the summer. "Is it because the Alpha already has a fiancée that this is bugging you?"
