Seth called out as Alex walked over to stand beside him. Alex looked over at Danny, who was leaning against the passenger side door of the F-250. He was wearing a Mossy Oak camo hat and a black tank top. Perhaps a bit too light for April, but he never cared. In fact, it was the sort of outfit he seemed to wear all year round. “Where’ve you been today?” Alex asked Danny. Danny just rested himself against the truck door casually with his hands hanging in his pockets. There was no way he had been sick earlier. “Oh you know,” he began with a grin. “Couldn’t afford to come to school today.”

Mom says sitting down on the sofa with a bored face while me and Dan can't believe our ears that she just said that to him! Than i suddenly got an idea....."what for me, give me 10 minutes!" If someone told me two years ago that my story would be a hit, I would laugh at it. I don't have a strong fanbase, I don't have loyal readers, I have nothing when I started writing this story. There was one solitary, big book on a low table between them. He didn't move as his eyes met hers. "The consent is the matter at hand. It must be freely bestowed, not coerced, and whispered three times into the skin of his throat." “Do you have any idea what sort of story you're going to be reading me tonight?”

Lucian leaned back in his seat, that lazy grin of his spreading like butter on warm toast. “Danny’s over the moon. He keeps asking when he’s coming home. But I think he’s more excited about meeting his grandparents. Apparently, Grandpa promised him a ninja kite.” I laughed. “A ninja kite? I didn’t even know those existed.” “Yeah. Don’t ask me. I think they made it up just to win him over.” I sighed, resting my chin on my palm. “I miss him already. I didn’t think it was possible to love a child I hadn’t raised. But Danny? That boy melted something in me I didn’t know existed.”

The notification lit up my phone at 11:47 PM. Almost desperate. “We’re not who we told you we are.” I raise an eyebrow. “What does that even mean?” He hesitates. Then finally— “We’re werewolves.” The silence afterward lasts two seconds before laughter bursts out of me.

” Danny ~”Are you seriously going to be everywhere? Jackson ~”Yes Danny I am.” Jackson ~”I don't see what good you are at the moment.” Danny ~”Boss can I slap him?” Kayley ~”Slap him for me as well.” SMACK Danny ~”I am pregnant, not useless.” Kayley ~”If you going to be an ass you must go irritate Ant.” Jackson ~”Ant slaps harder than Danny does.” Kayley ~”Then find something useful to do.” Jackson ~”Can I knock some walls down in the house?”

– Elliott. Danny started laughing, which for him was one guffaw followed by a shake of the head on a low, lingering chuckle. He stared at the screen and dried himself off with the enormous towel, thinking about what he wanted to do. Bending over, he typed the best idea he’d ever thought of. Leaving town for a few days. Going to the woods. The phone is dead. I’ll be fine. Don’t wait up. – D He waited for the responses he knew would bounce back immediately. His packmates didn’t let him down.
