She halts abruptly. Luke was yelling, “What’s happening with you? For what reason would you say you are halting?!” Daphny shuts her eyes shut as the beast prepared to gobble up her initial motor-mouth when Daphny began, “I’m the chubby young lady all of you tormented from green beans year. I detested Rica such a lot that I laid down with his sweetheart. For such a long time, I’ve been making enhancements and outrageous eating regimens to get more fit, and I wound up coming up short in each school placement test on the grounds that the enhancements cause me to lose shine and cause me to feel bleary-eyed.”

And somehow, a part of her was proud to stand beside him. ________________________________________ After the meeting ended, Alexandro had other matters to attend to, and he instructed one of his betas to stay with Serena. A young woman approached, her steps confident and light, a small smile playing at her lips. She was dressed in black leather armor, her dark hair braided tightly, and a sword rested casually at her hip. "Lady Serena," she said, bowing slightly. "I'm Kiara. Beta of the Blood Moon Pack." Serena blinked in surprise. She hadn’t expected to see a woman among the warriors—and certainly not holding the high rank of Beta.

Valeria answered mockingly, "Something at home came up for her, of course." "But who's going to make dinner for us if she went home?" "Did you hear yourself? Can't you cook for yourself? Or do you feel so entitled and think that you must be served," Valeria asked coldly. "I can cook. But there are no ingredients," Danya replied gloomily. "You're joking! How are there no ingredients in the refrigerator?" Valeria said as she finished another piece of chicken. Danya gulped as she watched Valeria enjoyed her chicken, "I'm serious! Why would I lie?"

After a series of presentations and entertainment, the time finally came, when Alpha Lex stood up and everyone silenced, waiting for what he had to say. He slowly walked to the stage and turned to face the crowd. I glanced at the table across the swimming pool and I saw Linda at a table with a bunch of girls sitting near her. She didn’t want to ruin the good-girl image her mother had of her. She took a sip of juice but kept checking her phone constantly. “Your birthday is coming up,” Daria said. “We need to start preparing. We’re going to make it bigger and grander than last time. Too bad Kylie isn’t here to help with the planning and decorations. Such a good girl. Too bad she’s no longer with us.” “Yeah… too bad,” Lyka answered in a low voice. Daria continued, “Oh what was the name of her lover again? Kendall. I feel the urge to visit him and send him some condolences. I didn’t do it when she died. If only I could remember what his face looks like.”

She was seriously pissing me off. “Oh, I don’t think I introduced you guys properly. Jenifer is the daughter and only child of Dwayne Wright, Alpha of his Pack.” Kai said. My eyebrows shot up at that. An Alpha’s daughter? So what? I was a Luna. “Wow, really?” Alex was equally surprised as I was, but his body felt tense around mine.

He is going to ruin the surprise. “Dinner is ready everyone,” says Miss Kat. We all head to the dining room and take our seats. Derek leads everyone in prayer and then we all begin digging it.
