Unknowingly, my nerve cells started to respond to the circumstances. The two of them didn't seem to notice that there was someone else besides them as they were lost in their world. They appeared to be close friends and both of them were radiating in the room. One was blessed with light brown pastel coloured eyes which seemed as sweet as sugar and the other one was blessed with black coloured eyes which seemed as deep as the sea.

The shadows around their feet began to rise, stretching toward the ceiling like black fingers. Damon stepped between Elara and the infected men, his hackles rising as a vibration started in his chest. Before he could charge, the golden black ember in Leo’s chest flared with a sudden violent brilliance. The light did not push the shadows back, it pulled them. The ink dripping from the mechanics’ eyes began to drift through the air drawn toward the boy like iron filings to a magnet. The three men groaned, their bodies shaking as the dark energy was violently siphoned from their veins leaving them to collapse onto the tracks like sacks of leather and bone.
