Taking out a stick of my cigar, I placed it between my mouth and puffed out a smoke. “Can I have some?” A syrupy sweet voice caused me to turn around sharply, immediately alert. A lady stepped out from the dark, smiling brightly at me. She could pass as the woman that had been walking through my mind for the past few days, but she had more healthy weight on her. And no tattoos. And straight, silky hair. And none of the full bosoms that constantly drove me insane. Felicia Rossi. “Hi, Vik.” She continued, coming to stand beside me.

"That's Felicia.... from the water park!" She was about thirty feet across the room, with long black curly hair, tied up at the back and dressed in black and silver underwear that showed off her body to perfection. She stood amidst a table of four guys, baiting them on to buy a dance. "The stripper with the long dark hair?" Sam asked, looking where Mark's gaze was fixed. "That a wig she's got on, bro?" "Must be." Felicia's hair was cut in a short bob that swept to one side, but her hair was a similar shade to the wig she was wearing. "She never said she was a fucking stripper. Business student at Berkeley, she told me."

If Felicia had been a different woman, softer, more naïve, she might have taken offense. But she wasn’t anymore, money and fear had carved that softness out of her long ago. So that cold reply told her something important: Damian Blackwood was completely focused on one woman, the one lying unconscious inside the theatre, not the one pretending to be carrying his child down the hall. And for the plan she’d agreed to, that was perfect. Felicia inhaled, letting the sterile air fill her lungs, then exhaled slowly as she turned away from the door. She smoothed her scrubs, tugged her gloves on and walked deeper into the theatre.

“You're destroying her! You're not helping matters!” Max was the first to look at his son with shock. Nora and Felicia also felt ashamed and looked down. Felicia picked up her bag and got up. “I will come back in eight weeks. By then, this school session will be over and my granddaughter will come back to be with her people. She's the heir to the rogue throne!!” Felicia stepped outside. Isis got up and followed through her tears. Getting outside, she held her grandmother. “Grandma, is there a way I can get rid of the stealer trait?”

Their conversation was hushed and confidential, leaving Felicia a distance away, watching the tiny fish swim in a nearby pond. Feeling a sense of boredom creeping in, Felicia waved her hand a few times, hoping to catch Kalixo's attention. Her gesture succeeded, and Kalixo glanced in her direction. Understanding her signal, he gestured back, indicating that he would return shortly. With a nod from Kalixo, Felicia watched as he disappeared into the grand mansion.

"Elijah Gray is not my brother, Felicity. He is the one who saved me from the dead, one year ago. And I am really Luciana Edith." Lucia paused her words for a moment, and immediately knocked Felicity's body away from her with a great deal of force there. It instantly caused Felicity a great deal of pain, and she coughed, as she pressed against her neck, which felt very stiff, and her breathing, which felt very labored.

The boss doesn't like women.” I choked on the food I had just swallowed. I coughed to clear my throat. Felicia slid my drinking glass closer to me. I accepted and gulped down the water. My instructor just laughed at my response.

Lila's P.O.V Rain hammered down like it was trying to drown the world, turning the path into a muddy slurry that sucked at my boots. Ma Felicia stood there, a dark silhouette against the storm, her eyes gleaming with something feral. The letter opener in her hand caught a flash of lightning, sharp and wicked. Annie gasped behind me, clutching my arm so tight it hurt. "Going somewhere, dear?" Ma Felicia's voice was syrupy sweet, but underneath it was pure venom. She took a step forward, her dress plastered to her skin, hair wild like a witch from the old tales.
