Darry Curtis Description Novels & Stories

Curtis's voice was cold, filled with killing intent, making the air feel icy. "It was him!" the men pointed at Kiran. Curtis's piercing gaze fell on Kiran, his expression shifting from anger to a smile. The crowd was stunned. Kiran thought, "Could Curtis Barr like men?"

It wasn’t anybody terrifying – though he suspected that some people might disagree with him on that point – since it was Dillon Saunders, his fellow badass, kick-ass bouncer. Dillon nodded in greeting, Curtis returned it. Dillon stalked over to the staffroom, shedding his heavy leather jacket as he went, returned a minute later. He looked around the room, checking things with his practiced eye, then headed over to Curtis. “OK night?” Dillon said in his husky voice, without preamble or small-talk, as per usual. “Trouble?” “None,” Curtis replied. “Tables to watch?” Curtis gestured at one near the pool tables. “The Road Devils are here tonight.”

Curtis sat upright on the hospital bed, his back supported by several pillows. Though his complexion had improved significantly compared to a few days ago, traces of weakness still lingered around him. The white hospital blanket covered the lower half of his body while a file rested in his hands. His attention appeared completely fixed on the document. Standing respectfully beside the bed was a young man dressed in a neatly tailored black suit. Harrison Drake. Curtis's assistant. He stood with both hands clasped before him, maintaining the professional posture he always carried whenever he was around his boss.

I stumbled back, sitting on the rock behind me, staring up at Curtis—who was now half-naked, his skin still wet, and the scent of soap and shampoo lingering in the air. “Curtis? Are you here? Have you seen Skoll and the others? They’re on duty at the camp today,” someone from the other side of the river calling, breaking the silence. “Check Eris’s barracks. Maybe those two are hanging out there,” he replied, still looking out at the river. I found myself staring at him. The thin dress I wore clung to my skin, and I was sure it left very little exposed on my skin. Curtis finally turned to look at me. His eyes widened, and in his flustered attempt to back away, he tripped and fell on the other

I ran in as well, only to get stopped by Hunter as he got in front of me and dad. My eyes travelled around the room and I locked eyes with the man who would soon become the man of my dreams and the man in my nightmares. Austin Dechart.

I doubt he would want to date anyone that much younger. “Get out of your own head. You are beautiful Kaycie. I remember seeing you that night at the club and thought how gorgeous the DJ was. Unlike your cousin and Felipe, Darryn is not a player. He is a bad boy but not a player. I have known him for years and I can tell you this for certain.” She explains.

Maybe I could do this. I moved through the party, accepting polite small talk from people who'd probably gossiped about my divorce over brunch. Some were genuinely kind. Others were clearly fishing for drama. I was just starting to actually believe that I might survive the evening when I saw him. Curtis stood near the bar, surrounded by his usual circle of sycophants. He looked good—I hated that I noticed—in a perfectly tailored tuxedo that emphasized his athletic build. Our eyes met across the room.

He caught a lock of my hair, his expression telling me all I needed to know about how serious he was. I slammed teh door shut the first chance I got and leaned my back against the wall, taking deep breaths. I needed my head checked. What the hell was I doing, and why was my heart beating so hard for the enemy? Even if he wasn’t an Arciero, he would still be a womanizer. Who knew how many women he had been with? That thought was like a bucket of icy water, awakening me from my stupor. _____ Curtis was fully dressed up by the time I was out of the shower. If I thought Curtis in nothing but a towel was fatal, Curtis in a suit sans tie was a weapon of mass destruction.

She was even familiar with some of them. Curtis stood next to her. "I know some of them. They used to frequent Emerald Group's shooting range in the past. They're not as good as me." Gwen looked at him. "Are you praising yourself?" Curtis felt a little indignant. He thumped his chest. "I was once a shooting champion. Can't I praise myself?" He was more than 6 feet tall, but he was huffing like a petulant child at that moment. It was somehow quite adorable.

“The files you requested have been distributed to the executives including Mr. Frank,” Curtis reported to Alpha Darren. Meanwhile, Alpha Darren was still checking the financial reports he had compiled himself from the company database. He was so focused that he didn't notice the incoming message on his phone. “Sorry Alpha Darren, your wife sent a message.” His hand slipped when Canis said 'his wife'. Yes, Alpha Darren did name Diana's contact as 'my wife' instead of her real name. He looked at Diana's desk and found it empty.
