Carmen shouted with tears rushing down her face. Dax didn't know what to do since he had never handled a crying woman before. To be honest, he was felt annoyed when a woman cried, but Carmen was different. With her, he just wanted to hold her tightly in his arms until she felt better. But he knew that his arms were not what she longs for. “Let's go home,” Dax whispered. “No!” Carmen shouted. She then rested her head against the counter and closed her eyes. Dax felt so uncomfortable not knowing what to do. So he rested his head on the counter with his eyes centered on Carmen and patiently waited, hoping that the alcohol would clear from Carmen's system.

She was a worthless woman. I walked out of the bathroom. I had barely taken a few steps when I saw something that stopped me in my tracks. Caroline stood before Dax, her tears glistening in her eyes as she spoke to him in hushed tones. My heart wavered. What could she possibly be saying to him? My eyes narrowed even more when she got closer and hugged him! Isn't he getting married?! Dax's eyes and mine met, and he looked a bit surprised. He pushed her gently and Caroline threw me tear-stricken eyes. I wrapped my arm around Dax's waist and placed another hand on his chest.

"Move. She's mine." Alex sneered. "She's not your anything and I'd sooner die than let you lock her up like she's some rabid animal." Damien lashed out but Alex was ready. He blocked Damien's blow with a hook and threw a punch at Damien's belly. Having seen Alex 's move many times during training, Damien blocked it in time before Alex 's claws could carve out his intestines. "Please stop it," he heard Ariel say but she sounded far away. So far and even her voice couldn't bring him out of the haze of bloodlust he had entered.

Was this one of the tragedies that Elsa envisaged? "I didn't do it, Lucian, please," Scarlett said, weeping while I washed her body. Her eyes were swollen, and her nose was red. This was the first time I would see her truly cry. I held her under the shower. Maxwell and Clay came to hold her too. We tried to console her even though our hearts were heavy too. I could feel her pain, and I was scared of what would happen next.

With a huff, Karina tossed the scissors to the ground and reached into her pocket. When she saw who was calling, her expression instantly changed. The cruelty and hatred vanished. In their place, a sweet and eager smile bloomed across her face. “Xavier! It’s so late—what’s the matter?” Dara’s ears perked up when she heard her call out Xavier’s name, and she instinctively looked up. The moment their eyes met, Karina shot her a sharp warning glance. Dara shrank back, quickly lowering her gaze. “Miss Carter, I hope I’m not disturbing you?”

She needed to find an opportunity to expose Daniella's identity soon. Scott: [Are you busy?] Caroline: [I was lost in thought, sorry.] Scott: [Hmm. Can I help ease your mind?]. Caroline: [You're quite the charmer these days, Scott.] Scott: [I'm just kidding. Tell me, what's bothering you?'] Caroline pondered. Caroline: [I'd like to visit the Xanders on Christmas Eve.]

"Do you expect us to believe you?" "Frank," Dax said, holding up a hand to quiet him. "Are you really doubting this boy’s words?" He continued, closing the distance between himself and Danica. "She radiates Xavier’s energy and..." he beamed. "She has his eyes." I watched as Dax reached out and wrapped his arms around Danica, pulling her in for a hug while Frank and my younger self stared on in disbelief. Something about the scene made my heart hurt as I stood on the sidelines taking it all in.

She flipped her hair in sas. "And woman, I deal with these psychos personally who do it all to get sympathy". Xavier narrowed his eyes. "Hah. Let's wait and watch". Caroline turned her back to Xavier, to focus on the screen. Xavier bit his lower lip to hide his chuckle. He would give up the whole world to make her win. He pulled her close in between his legs, wrapping his arms around her body. He felt Caroline stiffen a bit and then relaxed in his embrace. She put her head on his chest, inhaling his woodsy shampoo and perfume.

They were reminding me of that. “Caroline swears by them,” Corrine continued, gesturing to the Luna beside her. “Two drops in the morning tea. My daughter conceived within the first month. I will have some sent to you. I believe that you can benefit greatly from them. And the alpha is going to be very happy.” I forced a polite smile despite my reddening cheeks. “That’s… thoughtful of you.” My voice was even, but my pulse wasn’t. I could feel Xavier’s attention sharpen beside me, though he said nothing.
