Davidson was not just a bad CEO; he was a virus infecting a great American institution. Worst of all were the cartoons. One depicted him as a jester, bearing an enormous, comic key, unlocking a treasure chest labeled "Brison Empire" while a salivating, starry-eyed caricature of Joe looked on. Another represented him as a snake, coiled around the leg of a throne, whispering into the ear of a skeleton king.
