Chris hesitated, then nodded. Dave smirked like the cocky bastard he is. “I don’t need your fucking permission to leave, dude.” He walked to the front door, pulled it open, and left just like that. The moment he was gone, Chris rushed to the food cart, ripping open a pizza box and grabbing a bottle of wine like he hadn’t eaten in years.
