Fallen for the Dark
I glanced up at him, eyes wide, heart racing, and for the first time, I saw vulnerability there—something dark and jagged beneath the calm, magnetic surface.
“You’re hiding something,” I said, voice trembling. “Something I need to know. Something… dangerous.”
He didn’t answer at first. He studied me, lips pressed together, jaw tight. Then finally, slow and deliberate: “Everything you’ve fallen for… everything you think you know… it’s only the beginning. The fire… the obsession… it’s not just between us. It’s bigger than you realize.”
My stomach dropped. “Bigger? What… what do you mean?”
