Chapter 60 As the sun falls into the horizon, the people, or should I say the werewolves, of the town of Dusk and Dawn starts to gather at our place. Tonight the alpha’s madness will end. Tonight, everything will be more normal and free. No more threats and darkness. Only good, light, and life.

Darien’s POV I opened my eyes slowly and pushed myself upright. I must have slept after dinner last night. I had meant to call Ava in, but sleep took me instead. No matter... I could call her later tonight or this morning. I slid my feet to the floor and almost froze when I saw a shape lying near the bed. Ashlen. He blinked, yawned, and pushed himself to his feet. The moment his eyes met mine his posture changed: he straightened, reached for his sword, and bowed.

She had a teasing smile tugging at her lower lip and I rolled my eyes, flipping her off. "Geez, you should have seen how hot you look staking your claim on him," Dawn said without mincing words, sporting a smirk on her face. "I am just stating the obvious." I shrugged casually, leaning to rest my back on the sun lounger. "Ash is all loved up! Ivana's going to be a Mrs in a few weeks. Gosh, I am so proud of you girls." Dawn cried, faking a sniff and I chuckled where I lay, Ivana's giggles seeping into my ears.

Ashley said with a smike. Dawn said, “And, what will I get if I succeed?” Ashley smirked, “what do you want?” Dawn gave her a smile and said, “give Rafalel a day off, I want to go on a date with him.” Ashley laughed when she heard that, “oh my god, you two actually, talk? I had forgotten that you are his mate.” Dawn shrugged, “well he is cute, and lovely and handsome, and strong and wise… so… why not?”

Daniel's POV I could see the smile beaming from Asher's face... he was so happy. I had never seen him smile like that, not since I've known him, and that's been a long time. He was truly happy with Abigail. His plan had worked. I had never imagined it could. Fighting a war against the wolf hunters head-on had always seemed like a death sentence. But Asher, he had crafted a brilliant plan, something no one dared to consider possible.

Her inside thoughts were in chaos, and I can feel it. Her shoulder slumped. “I’m being paranoid, ain’t I?” I smirked. “Kind of, baby, but you have a right to be paranoid. I saw her leaving through the door while Austin looked like he was about to punch someone. How did a perfect evening turn into a mess? I rested my head on my hands, letting out a breath. “I’m gonna head out too. Take care, Ash.” Austin stood up and kissed my forehead. I smiled at him as he said his goodbyes, leaving in a rush.

David tightened his grip on the reins, his jaw clenched. " Good job David, " I said, letting out another sigh of relief and looking up to the sky. The stars had started to fade and the sky had lightened up a bit, signaling the dawn of the day. We journeyed on as David continue to pilot the chariot with eyes fixed on the path ahead. He slowly turned his face to me. "It's gonna be a long ride Ashley." "Yeah, figured that out," I replied, shutting my eyes and resting my head. "It's really gonna be."
