She was the friend who knew the latest trends before they were cool, the one who could make any outfit look like it was plucked from the pages of a high-fashion magazine. Ashley, the birthday girl, went for the classic "Fashionista Sasha." Her curly short hair was styled in a high ponytail, with a few loose strands framing her face. She wore a pink mini-dress that matched her doll's outfit, complete with a chic belt and dainty heels. Her makeup was minimal but effective, letting her natural beauty shine through. Sasha's outfit was the epitome of sophistication and poise, much like Ashley herself, who always knew how to navigate social situations with grace.

I stared from her to the gown she was holding up with a smile on her face. "Put it on already!" Ashley smiled as she held me up and helped me put on the outfit. I stood in the mirror staring at my reflection, I was clad in a stunning gold gown with an elegant silhouette. The strapless design highlighted my shoulders and a sleek slit on the left side added a touch of sophistication. I paired it with black strap heels that Ashley got along with the dress. Ashley did a little makeup on me and styled my hair perfectly in a ponytail I couldn't deny the fact that I looked stunning, but why would I overdress like this for someone else's birthday?

The rays of the bright morning sun seeped through the window, lighting up the room in a somewhat golden color. It was Friday. After taking her bath, Ashley put a pink track suit and a black baseball boot. There was a soft knock on the door. Standing close to the door, Ashley flung it open and a young lady strolled in with their breakfast. "Breakfast is here" She called everyone's attention in a cheerful manner. The scent of freshly made toast and hot Coffee filled the air. The girls ate breakfast silently.

Getting him to quit swearing may be more difficult than when I got him to quit smoking. I look down at what I’m wearing. Ashley helped me pick out the deep red dress from her closet after the team meeting. I rarely wear red, but now that my hair is white and my eyes aren’t violet, it doesn’t look too bad. I paired it with a camel colored wool peacoat, brown leather belt, and brown knee-high boots that I had in the closet of my suite.

I ask her “I’ll do anything for you. We got this. Imma take a nap.” She says as she wags her tail. Let’s do this dinner thing. I think to myself. We head down stairs. Ashley is talking to some pack member but she looks stunning in a light green dress! “Wow you look great.” I tell her.I definitely feel under dressed for this.i think to myself. “ Thank you and you look great. a lot of the pack will be in casual clothes. You’re gonna blend in. There are a few of the kings men here since he was called away in business.” She says with a smile.

At breakfast Cora had given me the I-know-your-secret look and I knew she was going to badger me later about the little outing last night. “As you all already know,” Asher said, standing straight with his legs slightly parted and hands behind his back. He wore military printed joggers with a gray tank top with those giant armholes. The diamond stud in his ear sparkled in the sunlight and I tried to focus on what he was saying as my traitor brain kept showing images from our escapade this morning.

She opened it and asked Shiloh to come in. Both girls had insisted on changing into their new outfits. Ashlyn wore black Capri pants with tiffany blue trim and a matching Tiffany blue t-shirt with an iconic Audrey Hepburn silhouette from Breakfast at Tiffany’s on it. Alyssa wore leggings that were a pale blue with black stitches and a long t-shirt dress with Jack and Sally on it. Shiloh complimented both girls on their outfits. She wore the same outfit from earlier, a black cardigan with skeleton hands across the collar bones, a red cotton shirt and a black pencil skirt with ridiculously high platform Mary Jane shoes.

But she was no actress or popular celebrity. Abruptly, she shot up from the bed. The most wonderful idea just sprouted into her head. She jumped into the closet of clothes Ian had ordered someone to get for her in the capacity of her being his wife. Ashley meticulously slid into a crisp black turtleneck, relishing the comfortable embrace of its fabric. She adorned vibrant red pants with three pockets, each pocket adding a touch of utility to her ensemble. The stylish sweep of a red knee length coat casually graced her shoulders, making a bold statement with its elegance.

No one spoke of the one who had been erased from the story long before it began. Ashley moved through the lower corridors with the practiced quiet of someone who had learned early that noise drew eyes, and eyes drew punishment. Her dark hair was pulled into a tight knot at the nape of her neck, strands escaping like rebellious threads she had no time to tame. The woolen dress she wore was patched at the knees and wrists, once a deep green but now faded to the color of old moss. It had belonged to Clara once, before it was declared unfit for the future Luna. Ashley had taken it without complaint. It was warmer than the threadbare shift she had worn the winter before.

Only wearing her shirt and underwear Ashley laid on her bed stretching her legs and hands after a long travel day and closed her eyes to sleep. The next morning, Ashley woke up earlier as she couldn’t sleep anymore after that. She took her phone and saw the time, 4 am. Tying her hair in a bun Ashley walked into the bathroom to finish off her morning chores to feel fresh. When she came out, the fresh rays of the sun peeked through the curtains. She smiled and dressed in her denim shorts with a black T-shirt. Looking around at the vibrant room, she slowly stepped closer to the window seeing the early morning sky.
