Chapter 60 As the sun falls into the horizon, the people, or should I say the werewolves, of the town of Dusk and Dawn starts to gather at our place. Tonight the alpha’s madness will end. Tonight, everything will be more normal and free. No more threats and darkness. Only good, light, and life.

Zade snapped. “I know,” Xander said immediately. “That’s what scares me.” Lightning cracked across the sky, illuminating the ravine in stark white. For a split second, Zade saw Ironclad silhouetted against the storm—a fortress of steel and arrogance. And beneath it, movement. Drones. Small, angular shapes lifting from the upper terraces, descending toward the ravine. “They’re faster than I thought,” Xander muttered. Zade felt his pulse spike. “How far to the outer border?”

XANDER POV When dawn broke over the horizon, we were barely done with our MAKE THEM PAY 101 operation. But I tell you, the whole basement was in a nice shade of red, covered completely in blood. I got up from my seat and gave myself a nice stretch, which made my bones crack in all delicious ways. Damn, I have never felt this… enlightened. This enthralled.

She sniffed and began cleaning her tears with her hands. She turned to me and before I could say 'jack', she pointed towards me and the king threw his gaze at me. Whaaat? How could Xenia do this??? I'm officially dead Dawn's pov I was now cleared on the fact that I have an enemy here at the castle. Anger began eating me alive and I thought of what to do. I woke with a start to being rocked violently and the sound of gunfire. Springing up I saw a hoard of Nephilim above us, surrounding us. I had never seen so many at once. Liam and Jason were already up, Liam's katana currently removing a head from the body of one Nephilim, Jason's guns blazing, hitting their mark each time. Todd was standing on top of the truck, his sickles already slick with blood; Devon behind him picking off the ones further out one by one. Fucking hell, no wonder I had a bad feeling. Their wings pounded, sending a thrumming throbbing into my head, I reached behind me to pull out my scythe. It felt alive in my hand, tingling with actual energy, light as a feather and dead

Chapter Thirteen I woke up to the sunshine steaming through the window. I let out a yawn and stretched my tired body out. My arms still ached from all the work from yesterday. I jumped out of the bed and quickly washed then got dressed. I could not afford upset the alpha anymore. I knew full well that if I wasn't up and making breakfast for the pack, then I would be beaten again. I prepared pancakes and helped the other omegas to set up the dining hall. It was almost seven am before we had finally got everything completed.

Two ropes dropped from it and I ejected the mag of my Beretta and inserted and slammed my last magazine into the gun. Smith's Walkie talkie buzzed and he picked it immediately as a familiar voice came live out of the walkie. "It's Dave" he announced pointing at the chopper. "Y'all get your sorry asses up here" the voice said again and I saw Austin raise his head up with a smile on his face. I smiled back but my smile soon fade away as an infected sank it's teeth on his left shoulder. "Austin!!!" I screamed in horror as I got up to save him from the infected but Lorenzo already dived at it and after two successful shots, the infected stopped moving and Lorenzo got up smiling.

Obviously, no one is going to help me beat this mythical creature. “Great. Now I’m dead” I whispered to myself How did this even happen? Few hours earlier… I woke up earlier than the usual. The sun was yet to rise and I estimate the time to be around 5 am in the morning. The first thing I did was to check on Liza. She was still sleeping soundly, so let us not disturb her. I planned on exploring the town today and attempt to sell the remaining of the glass pieces on my pocket. I do hope that they'll accept this so we can have enough money to buy supplies.
