Dc Comics Trivia Novels & Stories

Two things, actually. One: A wooden crate full of smashed vintage soda bottles, circa 1960s. Shards of Coke, Dr. Pepper, Pepsi bottles and the emerald green bits of a few 7UP bottles. Two: The wreckage of a homemade, cheap plywood comic book rack, littered with torn and crumpled comic books, all the classics: Batman, The Astounding X-men, Superman and ROM: Space Knight, shredded into ruin. I stared, my face rigid, when a brisk, non-confrontational but stiff voice asked, “Can I help you?”

I nodded, yes, I liked down. “So.....your turn?” She continued as she tied her green ribbon on her wrist. “Um....Marvel or DC?” “What? What’s that?” Samantha asked her eyebrows scrunched up. “Oh, my Goddess you don’t know about Ironman? Or BATMAN???” I asked, shocked. Who doesn’t know about the Dark Knight or about the Avengers??? “Um..sorry?” She had a worried look on her face. “Should I know them?” “I mean yeah.... no....I just can’t believe you’ve never heard of them! Avenger’s Endgame was epic! Every movie theater in the nation was sold out!”

He looked back at me with a challenging look. "DC?" I asked him feigning ignorance and taking my time to think. He bought my act and had a victorious smile on. "Well, I won't hold it against you but I do believe that Marvel comics are way better than DC's" I winked for closure then grabbed my second treat. "Wow! I think I should pretend I didn't hear what you just said. Marvel? really?". He kept shaking his head as if he was trying to get my answer out of his mind. "I mean Batman, Superman..... these are THE superheroes !!"

Mustache, black hair, black eyes and a sour expression. "We want to ask you a few questions. We won't take your time. " I almost rolled my eyes at that. Too cliché. "what exactly happened? " I took a deep breath and started talking. When I was done, mum reached over and squeezed my hand. I blinked back tears while officer Williams scribbled furiously on a notepad. Detective Allen nodded. "Do you know who would want to harm you?" I nodded. "A..A...D.. Dams Ripley."

"But the probability of us working out is—" "Probability based on what? Other people's experiences? None of that has any bearing on us." I appealed to the fact that she was a DC Comics fangirl at heart. "You don't enjoy 'Superman' any less just because most journalists don't have superpowers, right? You don't disregard his entire Krypton backstory just because majority of the people in the world aren't like him?" I challenged. "Most orphans aren't billionaires and yet, 'Batman' is your all-time favorite."
