While stroking the ice-cold gravestone with tears streaming down my face, I said, "Come back to me and be my child in your next life, okay?"
Zachary kept me company during my unborn child's burial. Then, he brought me home.
Peter was crouched at my door, waiting for us.
I rolled my eyes at him. I questioned, "What are you doing here?"
He fell to his knees and begged, "Let's talk in private. I won't bother you anymore moving forward."
Helplessly, I pointed toward a café some distance away and said, "Let's go there."
Peter fixed his eyes on me as I drank my cup of coffee. He remained silent.
