she replied, meeting Jade's gaze, "You couldn't have known." Jade hesitated, tilting her head slightly, her curiosity evident. "So, you're not a sub?" Ava chuckled, shaking her head. "No. Just a girlfriend." A look of genuine surprise crossed Jade's face. "Really? I never thought Carver... I mean, he always seemed so... singular in his desires." Feeling a prick of defensiveness, Ava straightened, her chin lifting. "Well, he does. It just took the right person."

“Mrs Penelope,” Ava said with a forced smile, walking towards the blonde woman sitting at the VIP lounge of the department store, Mrs Penelope rolled her eyes, “Finally, someone who knows how to do their job,” “It's been a while, ma'am. Ava's POV Ava settled into her seat on the plane, surrounded by the excited chatter of her friends. They were headed to Texas for a party, a weekend escape from the mundane routines of their lives. But amidst the laughter and anticipation, there lingered a question that Bea had dared to ask: "What's going on with you and Avery, beautiful girl?" Ava felt a pang of hesitation at the mention of Avery's name. It had been a rollercoaster of emotions since the accident, a blur of uncertainty and hope. She glanced out of the window, watching the clouds drift by, searching for the right words to answer Bea's probing question.

"Amanda, dear. That is not the way to greet old friends now, is it? I would have thought that your mother taught you to have better manners than that … oh, wait, my bad! She didn’t teach you anything other than to be a mean little girl who is always jealous of other people and what they have.” Ava said to Amanda, enjoying the way Amanda's expression darkened at her words.

Vanessa said, her tone light but her gaze piercing. Ava stiffened slightly but quickly recovered. “That’s right. I studied there during my undergraduate years.” Vanessa tilted her head, feigning curiosity. “Oh, wonderful! The University of Geneva is so prestigious. Tell me, who was your favorite professor?” Ava hesitated, her mind racing. Damien had drilled parts of her fabricated backstory into her, but details like professors hadn’t come up. “It’s been a while,” Ava replied smoothly. “But I remember enjoying Dr. Lefèvre’s classes on economics.”

She had almost hypnotized him, something he hadnt felt in quite some time “i called you because i wanted to spend the last of my feeling days with you pet” mavery said bringing tears once again to those lavender eyes “i do not want this for you” little ava said softly “he is kind and just pet, i would not give myself or you over to just anyone” mavery said taking little ava’s hands, from his vantage he saw mavery’s white knuckled grip “you will be one of his?” little ava asked Mavery nodded “i wish to spend eternity by his side and i wish for you to do so as well” mavery said
