A few persons gasp in shock while other whisper to one another. "Let's welcome her as one of hers," he adds staring at me. His blue eyes are piercing. "Come," he whispers, stretching his hand to take mine. I look around as I let him take my hand. His grip is gentle as he holds my wrist. "To greatness," he yells, raising my arm high. The crowd cheers

Nozomi was equally surprised by Hikaru's move, which gave Hikaru time to shout, “NOZOMI! It’s okay now! Come back!” Hina saw the opportunity to encase Nozomi in a cocoon and turned back to cast her spell. Nozomi recovered after Hikaru’s shout and smirked. “You’re gutsy. I’ll give you that.” BOOM. Laila was forced back three steps, her boots leaving deep ruts in the gravel, her arms vibrating with a dull, sickening numbness that she hadn't felt since the Bank of England. Takashi didn't give her a second to recover. He lunged forward, his long naginata slicing through the air in a horizontal cut aimed directly at her unprotected throat. The steel blade was no longer humming with a blue electrical current; it was coated in a thick, oily black smoke that carried the unmistakable, suffocating clicking sound of the First Soul Eater.

Rykor's POV Silently, I followed Nikita inside, my senses attuned to every nuance of her movements. The sunlight streamed through the mansion's tall windows, casting elongated shadows that seemed to wrap around her like spectres. Her gait was strong, a front for those who needed to believe in her invincibility. But as I watched her closely, I saw the seams of her façade fraying. When she reached the grand hall, she was no longer the Luna of Death but a tortured soul, weighted by burdens unseen. My heart ached for her, the contradiction of her existence. Outside, she was a monster—a killer. Inside, she was a scared little girl haunted by her curse.

“Mine! It is mine! It is –“ I flick my eyes down to him and whip out my hand. Then, almost casual, I let out my own stream of power in a wide beam of light that emanates from my palm. His scream of horror and pain is instant and chilling. But I press my mouth to a thin line as the God of Death crumbles physically away before me, his flesh falling away to ash, his bones mouldering before my eyes. In the end, all that remains is a little pile of ash with a stunning silver knife at its center. A ghostly shade crouches to the side, whimpering. I bind that with a look, wrapping it in ghostly chains, stealing its voice.

Aerian screeched. It was so damn dark where she was it was almost impossible to see her. Even with my wolf vision I could just barely make her out. The only part of her that was easily seen were her eyes. They were glowing brightly. There were three dead wolves lying in front of her. The others were standing there snarling at her as she stood over Benny’s unmoving form. I let out a growl as more wolves descended on us. I heard someone yell at me. As I looked over my shoulder, I saw a wolf lunging towards me. Before it could land on my back a stream of the brightest light, I had ever seen hit it. The wolf flew several feet way hitting a tree. When I looked at the wolf it was burnt to a crisp.
