My heart dropped as I was unsure of what I should think and do right now. “Becky?” “Marc.” My voice broke in fear. “Marc,” Sinister’s voice echoed as he approached the garage from outside. Oh my God! I quickly dashed back to the hall where I came out from, away from Sinister’s view. “Did you finish what I assigned you with?” Sinister continued speaking to Marc, who brushed off the confused look and casually replied to him.

Pushing out my head mechanically like a robot. “Yes,” I whispered, my voice barely audible over the sound of the rain. The figure was hooded, the heavy rain dripping from the edges, obscuring their face in shadow. I blinked against the rain, my pulse thrumming in my ears. Then the figure pushed the hood back, revealing a familiar face beneath. "James?" I breathed, a mix of surprise and relief flooding my chest. "Oh my God, James Connor?" His lips curled into a lopsided grin, one I remembered well from long shifts at the hospital, and he nodded.
