I held my breath as a dark, furry form emerged from the underbrush, its eyes fixed intently on the deer. Our movements, Ozed and I, were fluid and stealthy. His paws barely made a sound on the forest floor. His eyes gleamed with fierce hunger, and I could sense his primal urge to hunt and devour. The deer, oblivious to the danger, continued to graze, its tail twitching occasionally. Ozed must have made a sound; he stepped on a twig. A couple of hours later, After drinking soup for lunch and talking with his family, David returned to SSO. --- A herd of 8 deers calmly grazed inside the blood forest. Their horns were much smaller than their Earth's counterparts. Their fur was red with black spots, and their eyes were blue as the sky. One of them got distracted by a low whistle that came from one of the bushes and approached it.

Claire cocked her head, calm, violet eyes staring the deer’s crazed, brown eyes. “Why are you still trying to live?” she asked her.
