The fall was more than something he could control. He couldn’t stop the scream that forced itself out of his mouth as he found himself struggling against the force of gravity. His body hit the window guards from the top most floor and his head also hit one of the opened window glasses and continued downward until it got to the middle floor at the fourth second where it hit another opened glass window, all this slowing down his movement and increasing the pains of his fall. He closed his eyes in anticipation of his death as he continued falling.

**Free Fall** The wind screamed past their ears as Ethan and Sophia plummeted through the sky. It was unlike anything either of them had ever experienced—their bodies weightless, tossed around by the rushing air, all sense of direction lost. For a split second, time seemed to stretch, and the world below blurred into a distant, unrecognizable mass. Sophia’s heart raced wildly in her chest. It all happens so fast, I can’t even tell if I am upright or dead.

But just as it seemed poised to strike, the ground beneath us gave way, sending us plummeting into the darkness below. As we fell, the air rushed past us in a blur, and I could hear Sophia's terrified screams echoing in the abyss. Panic seized my chest as I reached out, desperately grasping for something to hold onto, but there was nothing but space around us. Then, just as suddenly as it had begun, the freefall came to an abrupt halt as we landed with a bone-jarring thud on the solid ground below. We lay there for a moment, dazed and disoriented, before slowly picking ourselves up and surveying our surroundings.
