Sorry, Too Late

Sorry, Too Late

Now she knew she'd been horribly wrong all this time, and regret was catching up to her. Hazel's regret didn't delight her parents. Instead, they held her in utter contempt. "It's too late for regrets now, I'm afraid," Stefan grunted darkly. He thought, 'Curse her! Regret? After all this time? After he cut all ties with you?'

I Died, And He Regrets It

I Died, And He Regrets It

Lamont felt a wave of heat wash over him. Lena’s sweet words melted him completely. “Forget her, okay? “Let’s start over.” Lamont remained silent for a long time. He closed his eyes and did not refuse Lena’s approaching lips. My soul was trapped in midair. I was forced to watch my husband—the man I had always believed was utterly devoted to me and would never betray me—begin an affair with his former lover, just days after my death. That afternoon, he had been overcome with grief at the sight of my body. Yet by nightfall, he had entirely forgotten about me.

My Sister's Fiance

My Sister's Fiance

I heard it when I was seven years old when I saw the first dead person I'd ever seen: eyes open, blood pooling on the barn floor. In my profession, regret is easy to come by. They piled up, each sapping a man's resolve. I don't have many regrets; until now, I only had one following me. I regretted Dianna when she married my uncle Vincent. Recently, and more than that, I regret signing for Gallena. I want her twin. On my bed. Stick on the wall. Kneel.

Barrett: Heart of Promise

Barrett: Heart of Promise

Her words have meaning behind it. “I... since your death, I have regretted it many times. Please I’m sorry Barrett, that night...” he paused and the suffering he felt that night resurfaced back his wounds. “You don’t have to be sorry, because I know.” Still smiling it hurts him more. “No, it’s my fault that night you fell.” “It is my decision.” She replied, reaching to his face to wipe his tears away, “Thank you for being my first love Maynard and for letting me feel how to be loved.” Past tense.

Airiane
Hello Airiane here! Greetings to everyone visiting my book :) I would greatly appreciate it if you leave reviews and comments. Formerly "My Lover's Fangs". Heart of Promise has reached it's second season now. I hope Barrett will capture your hearts! That's a promise!
R.C. Mich
The start of the story is in itself quite passionate and makes you want to read more. I liked how the clues keep popping out regarding what exactly happened to the manager. My recommendation at this time would be to leave less space in between the paragraphs as it seems to be too big sometimes.

My Millionaire Husband’s Secret

My Millionaire Husband’s Secret

I ask carefully. “Do I regret what?” He asks as he searches my face for some sort of sign as to what I was referring to. “This… What we did… Because it’s messy and it’s complicated and it’s not fair to you.” His face turned completely cold and I expected the worst of explanations and responses as to why he was no longer interested in pursuing this or continuing any further - I wouldn’t blame him. “No. The only regret that I have is that I waited over ten years to say anything.”

Taming the Beast Within

Taming the Beast Within

“But for now, forgiveness is still impossible. Forgiveness will be a sign for me to finally let him go. And I won’t. I won’t. Because the mourning that I have right now or for the past year, won’t still suffice to what he truly deserves. In the first place, you’ve never been there. And to be exact, you are certainly the one who caused his death.” He didn’t know how long he had to spend absorbing all her words. All that was running through his mind were the words slowly lingering – no, imprinted in his heart, mind, and soul… forever. He was full of regrets in his life, but this was the deepest and most sorrowful regret that he knew he had ever experienced.

Obsessed With My Stepbrother

Obsessed With My Stepbrother

“I will never forgive myself, Isabelle and if I don’t, we can’t do this.” I took a long moment before thinking of what to say. “Answer me something and then you’ll see why you should.” He looked at me. “What?” “Did you regret it then, or are you only regretting it now?” He closed his eyes, as if recalling the moments everything happened. “I…” He breathed out and then took a deep breath in. “I did it once, Isabelle, and I—I felt so bad about it, but it was too late and there was nothing to do anymore. I regretted it the second I was done.”

Rejected by my mate, Claimed by Alpha Ryder

Rejected by my mate, Claimed by Alpha Ryder

“The man who claimed her was stronger than me. In every way that mattered.” That answer didn’t sound like just strength. It sounded like defeat. “I was already late,” he said. Something in his eyes looked heavier now. Not just sadness. Regret. Deep regret. I swallowed slowly. “That doesn’t mean you were weak,” I said gently. “Maybe she wasn’t meant to be yours.” He looked at me. I had slight dizziness but I quickly pushed it away. And I continued, softer this time. “Your destined mate can be delayed,” I said, “but can never be denied.”
