Perfectly Ruined
Deli bit her lip, then hurried after him, not wanting to be left behind.
They moved from store to store, picking up different supplies. Death bought in bulk, preparing for what seemed like a long hideout, and making sure Deli had everything she might need now that she was carrying.
But Deli soon grew tired. Her feet ached and, worse, she was pressed, but she didn’t want to ask him for anything. It felt awkward telling him she needed the restroom…. she didn’t want him to shut her out again, or snap at her. It’s not like I’ll get into trouble, she thought. I’ll just go, finish fast, and come right back.
