We put on our goggles, head-pieces and gloves and made our way towards the counter where Charles provided us with our guns. "Which model is this?" Trevor asked as he ran his fingers over the metallic body of pistol. "Automag Four, .45 Winchester Magnum Cartridge." I responded. Trevor nodded in approval, "I personally prefer 5 but this will do nicely too." I grinned. "You know, I kept the bullet from the first time you taught me how to shoot."

Landon asked. “Yes.” “How do we kill it?” Reede asked. “That’s where Dane comes in.” Dane dropped his duffel on the desk, distributing goggles and knives. “The demons can’t hide from the infrared goggles at night. These knives are not regular knives. Its blade is plated with an old sword wielded by a Nephilim.” “A half-angel?” Amelia asked in shock. “Wow. Have you met one?” “No. It was ages ago.” Dane turned to her. “Just like werewolves, they age slowly, five hundred years old and longer.”

Damian's face flashed before my eyes, his eyes gleaming with a sadistic pleasure as he committed the heinous act. I shuddered as I recalled the onslaught my pack members received at the hands of Damian and his vampire minions. The Demon King leaned back, one leg slung over the armrest, grinning down at me with a slow, cruel smile. He was red-skinned and powerfully built and his body seemed to have been carved from molten stone. Two curved horns rose from his brow and black hair darker than night itself flowed down his back. A short, trimmed beard traced his jaw, but what caught my attention the most was the fact that he was... NAKED? “What in the fuck?” I muttered under my breath as I placed my hands over my eyes, trying to avoid the eye of the monster in between his legs. "Where the hell are your clothes?”

The sentries worked in perfect coordination, pack bonds allowing them to anticipate each other's movements. For a moment, I thought we might actually win. Then the demon lord arrived. It didn't come through the walls like the others. It simply appeared in the center of the room, reality bending around it like heat waves. It was massive, easily eight feet tall, with skin that looked like molten obsidian and eyes like burning coals. When it spoke, its voice was the sound of cities burning. It raised one clawed hand and made a gesture that looked almost like a military signal.

IBIM The beeping sound of the machine made my heart lurch in its place. I could die when it was time for the surgery. It was laser in my eyes for a whole minute or so. I was asked to keep my eyes wide open and I did. "Is she okay", I heard Daa's voice.

It slams into the marble, gripping the edge of the portal. Another hand follows. This time it’s not just the arms. A massive head rises from the tar, horned and carved from shadow and fire. Molten‑gold eyes lock onto mine. A broad, powerful torso follows, dripping with black tar that hisses as it hits the floor. The demon can’t seem to leave the portal fully. His waist remains submerged, as if he’s kneeling in a pool of darkness, but his presence fills the foyer like a force pressing in from all sides.
