I run my hand over his sleek fur and let my eyes fall shut. Lucas is listening to an audio book, and I stay awake and pay attention for three chapters before I fall asleep, slipping into the same dream I keep having. The demon. Being surrounded by hellfire. The blue-eyed man just looking at me, not speaking. Not moving. Not giving me a single fucking clue to why he keeps pulling me back here. I watch myself almost burn and feel the same desperation take me over.

Why only this one?" Turning every page of the book, Amethyst investigated, narrowing her eyes at Douglass who never said anything else. Amethyst swiftly stopped turning the pages and stopped on one page that had her name written boldly at the top. Her eyes widened with unspeakable fear that attracted the attention of both Liam and Douglass. "M-my b…blood is needed for the…rebirth of the demon…?" She gasped and the book elegantly fell from her hands.

We will send the demons back to where they belong, but first we will make them live in the torture we create for them. *** This is the end 😭 but there is more in Book 2, My Devil's side, which is seven years in the future and is the last and final book to this story. Then the book opened, forcing my palm to hold it up the pages started to flip rapidly. So many images flashed through my mind but none of which I recalled. The book slammed shut and I blinked.
