Ava's Demon Book 2 Novels & Stories

I just found where I'm going to spend the rest of my time while Keo is absent. I spend at least half an hour inspecting as many books as possible before one piques my interest. It's particularly old, written over a century ago. By the looks of it, it details some Angel-blood history regarding Demon's. Lugging the book upstairs, I lay it on my bed, flipping the cover open. I take my time scanning the small text, learning about the war, about Angel's depiction of Demon's. It's rough, hearing how they detail the mass death's, and how they justify it.

She was truly a force. "Alright, my turn," Ava declared, her voice firm. She squeezed my shoulder, a surprising gesture of comfort. "Don't go dying on me while I'm gone, brother dearest. It would be highly inconvenient." With that, Ava stepped onto the shimmering path. Like Misha, she vanished, absorbed by the swirling gases. The whispers returned, more insidious now, targeting me again, but also Misha. She is a demon. She cannot be trusted. She will abandon you. You are weak. Useless. A burden.

I flew through pages and found the word. Wind of darkness was used by the demon king to carry off preys. I stared at the book as a lump filled my throat as I realized my beloved was in the hands of her predator. Ava's POV I forced my eyes open trying to survey where I was. I looked around, but I could barely see anything. I struggled in the chair I was tied in. It wasn't something I could easily free myself from. My abductor must have had a brilliant way of tying my hands and feet to the chair to keep me from escaping.

His scales glinted like molten lava as he unfolded his massive wings, casting a shadow over the assembled demons. With a flick of its claw, Arwan sent a blast of flame shooting towards the demons. With their twisted, nightmarish forms, the demons shrieked in terror as the flames engulfed them. As Arwan continued his rampage, the demons fled in terror, he tore through them, sending demon’s bodies flying as he tore them apart with ease. As the last of the demons fell, Arwan stood victorious. I choked on my saliva, stumbling backwards. With one last look at me, Arwan flew into the sky with no glimpse of recognition in his eyes.
