Everyone on this mountain is a shadow demon, including Lord Ewen. The inherent flaw of shadow demons is that, even after cultivating for thousands of years, they may not obtain a physical body. "Where exactly is it?"

But the shadows didn’t keep him long. The demon moved in a blur, chains snapping like twigs. He surged forward, his wings flaring wide as he tore through the shadows with inhuman precision. Clawed hands ripped one apart, his tail speared another, his sheer presence scattering the rest. By the time my mind caught up, every last shadow was gone.
