Angelic Demon episode 14 A phone call interrupted the sad atmosphere. They were all sitting on an arm chair in Roderigo's room. The investigation lasted for months and they all lost something very valuable to the killer. The thought of losing again made them shiver.

Golden arrows slowly emerged, timidly trying to chase away the shadows of the night. The great fire disc made its appearance. First, it emerged as a red line growing wider and wider until it rose victorious into the angelic blue sky, ready to stretch its arms over the whole earth. It tamed its color slightly, becoming comforting as it shyly soaked up the night frost with which you would think it was soothing its own color.

The shadow demons were something no one could detect unless you were gifted, they were able to use the shadows to get to Lennox. Netherhounds, Bonewalkers, Dark Phatoms, Poltergeists, Gravecallers, Deadlings. A Vampire sitting two rows in front of us raises his hand. "There are still Dark Demons in Tophet, right?" The professor nods. "Unfortunately. Many of them have devised means to easily slip through the Tether into the mortal realm in disguise as earthy Demons. Not many other true shadow creatures can do that, except Crocottas, perhaps."

But the more I pulled, the more complicated everything became. At midnight, my phone buzzed again. *“The mirror shows what’s hidden. Look closer.”* I glanced at my reflection in the windowpane. The woman staring back at me was pale and exhausted, but her eyes burned with a quiet determination. Slowly, I moved closer, finger trailing the cold glass. And then I saw it — a flicker, subtle but unmistakable. A shadow moving just behind my reflection, a shape that didn’t belong. My heart skipped. ---

Then, the harsh basement lights flickered to life. The sudden brightness stabbed into his one eye, as the other one had a rod drawn deep and the man on the floor squeezed in fear. His entire face twisted in pain, as if even the light itself was another form of torture. The footsteps stopped. The man forced his one eyelids apart, just a little A thin sliver of vision. All he could see was the silhouette of the figure approaching… And then cold shadow that fell over his broken body like a final warning. “W-at-e-r…” The word scraped out of his throat like broken glass, just a dying sound struggling to exist.

And every time she tried to remember the path they were taking, the image dissolved into a smear of grey. She knew this feeling, this helplessness, it was the ghost of her first life, rising up to remind her that no matter how fast she ran, the shadows always had a longer reach. Beside her, Brenda was curled into the corner of the seat, her shoulders shaking with silent, rhythmic sobs. To anyone watching, she was a sister in mourning, a victim of a cruel fate.
