THE SPIRITS HANNAH LYN MIOKI One of the celestial twin spirits and guardian of the Shrine Maiden Daniela. Sir Daryl asked, which surprised me. "Huh?" I dumbfoundedly asked in return. "Don't tell me you've forgotten your birthday this coming Saturday?" Sir Daryl reminded me, and in just mere seconds, the twins stood up simultaneously and slammed their hands on the table before leaning their faces toward me. "Your birthday is on this Saturday!?" We won't be able to celebrate her birthday if we attend the party.” Oh. That’s right. I’m already turning 18 come this 19th of March. I mean, they could go to the party for all I care. I don’t enjoy celebrating my birthday anyways. I just feel like it’s an ordinary day.

I laughed. “Not every demon has superpowers, Frey.” I said absentmindedly. “How do you know?” She asked. The question caught me off-guard. “Well, you see in other movies right? They just scare people.” I laughed hesitantly, hoping my reason is believable. “I don’t think so. I think all demons have powers.” I didn’t answer back just in case I say something weird again. Well yes. All demons have power over mortals. But not until their 16th birthday. I had my power a little. I was almost disappointed that I didn’t receive my powers at exactly midnight on my 16th birthday, but I received them after the Becoming Ceremony.
