Even burned out. She knew him. In the forest, where the Aswang had died, another presence lingered. A Tamawo, a collector of sorts, tasted air. The Beacon is burning beautifully. He looked at me in shock and I could see the fear in his eyes when he looked at my arm. "Demon." I heard him say before running away from my room. I just asked why he seems to be scared. Who is the demon? Me? What is a demon by the way? Then when I got dressed I went out of the room and went to the kitchen, I saw a knife fall to the floor so I took it but I immediately let it go and closed my eyes because I saw something in my mind again. I saw the face of my mom and the girl with the horns again, mom was holding a knife and stabbed that girl with the horns, the girl did not know because she was sleeping.

Flora had a faint pulse so I carried up to one of the spare bedrooms where Maya could attend to her. “What the hell happened to her?” Maya shrieked when she saw the bruised and battered Elora in my arms. “I don't know what's got into him, he almost killed her. Maya we have to get her away from him. He's going to send this whole pack down if he kills her.” It scared me to think that my own father could kill a she-wolf. He had walked off like it were no big deal. The walls and floors were splattered with blood. It was like a blood bath. I had ordered some of the omega girls to clear it up.

Seraphina shook her head. “No, she’s a vampire, isn’t she Achilles?” Achilles nodded, “Yes, she’s a vampire.” Eloise shook her head, “We thought that too until we touched her. Lady Briseis is a Dhampir.” “Why would she conceal such a thing?” Seraphina frowned. Isobella’s eyes darkened, “When I touched her, I sensed the same dark magic that I can feel in you.”

We fought back immediately. “Come at me!” Tamar yelled and they all rushed towards him. The other Alphas shook their heads as they fought tirelessly. A scream filled the air just as I had slit the throat of the rogue that had approached me. Tamar had been shot in the leg and he was bleeding. The sight of blood made my powers rise to the surface. The one who had shot him stood in the distance, and you could tell that he was the leader. “Well, well… who would have thought they would send Amateurs to take me down?” he threw back his head and laughed.

I was still so weak from my earlier spell. "I will, soon enough. But I have something to tell you…" Tamera said gravely, so that I was forced to look at her and pay attention. "What is it? What do you have to tell me that can’t be said back at Elijah's pack land?" "it's related to what you just witnessed. What you just saw is happening in real time. Damien raised those dead people, and is making minions out of them. And you can guess where he's sending them to." Tamera said and I thought for a moment before gasping in shock.

Rayline. "Because..." Jesse started but cut himself off as his eyes locked with Taylor's. He shook his head with a sly smirk. "Taylor recently found himself getting involved in... steamy activities in the demon world." Cole lifted his brows. "Is that safe?" A hint of concern filled my tone. "Taylor can move into the shadows and get past any man that would be guarding, is that right, Ty?" Jesse pointed out. Taylor nodded in agreement. "They are all low-class demons, their minds should be easy to persuade."

She lunged at the third demon, wrapped her legs around its middle and plunged one of her knives into one of its toadlike eyes. The blade sizzled where it sank into the eyeball. Wailing in pain, the demon staggered around, Ayesha clinging to its back, and fell, pinning her to the floor.
