He, himself, was made of brine so that when he raised his voice with demonic indignation and bared his mouth in a snarl, one was sure to see and feel and dread him. He was every inch mad and furious and violent. Now as he spoke, the pillars astride him shook. And beside those pillars were giant gargoyles that stood to his beck and call.
