Derek Storm Novels Novels & Stories

Now I know why and how Stormy's caffeine obsession came about. Storms hometown is much more relaxing than I thought it'd be. There's not even much bar here. I thought I'd have to worry about seeing some stray drunks on the road or some guys fighting by the corner. When Storm told me how her dad used to trash into their house after hours of having liquors at local bars, I figured there'd be more people like him in this neighbourhood. Davisville neighbourhood.

Lewis started. Derek didn’t look at him. “So…” Lewis repeated. “Say whatever you want to say,” Derek said without looking at him. “Your business. What is it about?” Lewis asked. Derek stopped walking. “Are you sure you want to know?” He asked. “Sure,” Lewis answered. “I sell guns,” Derek said calmly. Lewis froze. “What?” “Illegal ones,” Derek added. Lewis’s eyes widened, and his heart skipped. “Illegal guns? Are you for real?”

Chapter 68: She's Still His Luna The soft hum of the manor was punctuated by the occasional chatter of pack members passing through the halls. Derek stood near the window of his office, sipping a cup of strong coffee as his eyes lingered on the pack grounds below. His mind was restless, caught between the looming rogue threat and Kael’s unsettling presence. A knock on the door pulled him from his tnoughts. “It’s open,” Derek said without turning around.

"But we need a distraction. Something big enough to—" Thunder cracked directly overhead. Rain turned to snow, then to ash, then to snow again. The storm Derek had created was evolving, becoming something else. Something impossible. Jensen burst through the door. "Alpha, you need to see this." We followed him outside. The sky above Silver Moon had split—a perfect line dividing storm from calm. On one side, Derek's rage made manifest. On the other, clear starlight. And walking the line between them, impossible but undeniable, was a figure made of both shadow and flame.

Only his voice cut through the cold wind and reached my ears. "I don't want to get married so soon anyway." Every excuse he'd ever given me shattered against that one casual sentence. Of course. All his excuses boiled down to just one truth—he simply didn't want to. He didn't want to marry me or keep his promise. That was it. Jane drew in a small breath. "But I think I saw Ms. Brock's Instagram. She's already announced the wedding date. Not just that, but I also heard the invitations have even been made. Is she… trying to force you into this?"

Eighteen Years Ago The Shadow Pack burned that night; the storm came first, then came the lightning. It split the sky in two; thunder shook the very foundation of the pack, like the growl of a vengeful god. The rain lashed out, falling heavily, but it didn't quench the fire swallowing the packhouse whole. The flames devoured the Alpha's mansion and everything that stood in their way. Hidden in the hollow oak tree is a child with jet-black hair clutching a leather-bound book to her chest.

He didn’t appear remorseful, “there is no need to get all cranky, she is the princess afterall. What harm will it do telling her about a bit of the political issues around the pack.” I stared closely at him to understand the kind of thoughts that runs through his head. “you know that isn’t what this is about. You just do not want to admit that you are quite the gossip and Lena is your partner in the mess.” Derek flipped an invisible hair off his shoulder. “say what you want. At least I have other people I can call my friend and talk to, unlike you who barely talks to yourself.” I inhaled sharply, holding myself back from strangling him to death. “we will see. I need to have a moment with the

Derek glanced back, his eyes narrowing. “Alex? What are you doing here? I told you to stay safe!” “I’m not going to let you steal this from me!” Alex snapped, his fists clenched. “I’m going to kill the beast!” Derek shook his head, his expression grim. “This isn’t about glory, Alex. It’s about protecting the pack.” “I don’t need your protection!” Alex yelled, his voice cracking with anger. The distraction cost Derek. The beast lunged, its claws slashing across Derek’s chest and sending him crashing to the ground.

Could his alpha greed be that limitless? It wasn’t unheard of. Alphas often claimed multiple partners to display their dominance and power. But the thought of Derek treating me as nothing more than an accessory to his status made me feel hollow. As I gazed out at the rain, its steady patter growing louder, I sighed deeply. The storm outside mirrored the whirlwind within me. What did Derek want? What did I even want anymore? I didn’t know the answers, and the weight of the unknown felt heavier than my broken body.
