Deserted But Not Alone

Deserted But Not Alone

It was freedom and it was bliss. Adam and I ran for about two hours before we stopped at a stream to drink water. Once our thirst was sated, we lay down and stared at each other in wonder. I had read about werewolves in books and novels, but never in a million years would I have thought that they actually existed. I wish I could speak to Adam and find out how he feels about all of this. I was able to accept my wolf easily, but I wasn't sure how he was taking the transition.

Rejected for Her Curves, Claimed by the Blood Alpha

Rejected for Her Curves, Claimed by the Blood Alpha

I took the scepter and drove it into the starlight caravan, watching as it ignited the path to the next continent with the Un-Hungry Glory of the Sovereigns. Darlene felt the shift in the air, the humid brine of the South giving way to the dry, aromatic winds of the Eastern Deserts, and as the 103rd chapter closed, the "Debt of the Four Continents" was officially Paid in Full, leaving only the Hunger of the Future to be satisfied.

The Devil's Dust

The Devil's Dust

My nerves pick up a cold sensation running through my body over the heat when a new person-Dustin-wraps a wet blanket around me. I’m literally burning in hell, a hell a signed up for. Omega Luna Ran Away With Our Twins

Omega Luna Ran Away With Our Twins

“You don’t need to sound so stilted. Is it very formal, then, in the desert? I’d always imagined it would be a complete mess, to be honest.” Oh, god. Suddenly I understood why Hunter had pretended to lose his memory. “I’m just used to referring to others by their titles,” I said. It wasn’t a lie, and that made my voice come out a little easier. “The desert is more of a wasteland than the city and the pack lands, though.” “Do you miss it?” I shuddered. “No.” “It sounds awful,” she admitted, shooting me a small smile. “But didn’t you say you wanted to go home? I heard my Hunter had to practically hold you down to keep you here.”

Rebecca
I'm finding this book really hard to follow. I also don't like how we get Jane's perspective, then Hunters perspective but on the same time period. I feel as though I'm just reading the same chapters over. There's too much going on.

Dawn of the Gods

Dawn of the Gods

"The Spiritual Qi in Violet Manor ought to be richer than in the Human World and not so thin." Although it was noon, they were no longer in the quiet valley bearing the scent of flowers and the sounds of chirping birds. Under the blazing sun, the yellow sands became like scorching fire rocks. Desire (Wish, Book Two)

“After all, the first thing she handed me was a forbidden book about genies. I was nine years old. I learn how to hide from them all. You’re wrong about one thing. I’m not a phony. I am intelligent because I forced myself to be. My kind has no place in this world and I taught myself everything. I excelled at everything because I had to survive, to become strong. Fated to My Brother in-law, The Lycan King

Fated to My Brother in-law, The Lycan King

Rowan rode through the barren expanse of the desert, the wind whipping against his face, sand lashing at his cloak in fine, stinging sheets. The sun was low on the horizon, painting the sky in bruised shades of violet and amber, and the vast emptiness stretched endlessly before him. No walls, no towers, no whispering corridors—only the open expanse, a landscape harsh enough to test even the strongest will. He had left the Dark Elf Kingdom behind, leaving the shadows, the schemes, and the weight of Reine’s stolen soul behind as well. For this moment, it was only him and her—or at least, the memory of her.
