I found the photo two days later. "What did he write in the margin?" Lilly reached into the box and pulled out a little book. The solar system is one. Without being told, Lena knew the cover. Lilly opened the door. Twelve-year-old handwriting, a little uneven and careful: She ticked the Proxima Centauri part. “Getting to us from it takes four years,” she said. I googled it. The star may have gone by the time we see its light. I don't get how something can be real and not here at the same time.

I moved quietly to the doorway, staying in the shadows of the hall so they couldn’t see me. Leylie sat on the edge of Ava’s bed. Ava, awake from her nap, sat cross-legged. They had a large picture book spread out between them. “And then,” Leylie was saying, her voice gentle and lively, “the little star realized that even though he was small, his light helped the sailors find their way home. He didn’t need to be as big as the moon to be important.” Ava leaned into Leylie’s side, her head almost resting on her shoulder. She reached out and tapped a drawing of a lighthouse in the book. Then she grabbed her tablet and typed quickly.

We came from the heavens in the form of dust. That is what made us the humans we are today. The knowing where we come from only is known to a select few. The ones who dream of the stars and planets so far away. The ones who know we will always be Star Dust in the end. Katherine Thomas Chapter 1

Voice 1: "I'm a mere voice within you. Let me explain: The end is the beginning and the beginning is the end at the end two things remain Darkness and light and they form a new world once more. More like how those planets used to rotate around the star as you called it the Sun. The Sun A star was born. The first of its kind. White in color as centuries passed. It grew, aging from white to yellow from yellow to orange from orange to red, and from red to blue. Now when it turned blue it lost its heat then became dark & gloomy and its stone heart that burnt like coal ended up dimming becoming cold and it eventually exploded, creating a gas that forms a black hole, which swallowed its surroundin

Some spiral symbols were also decorating his head, starting from the top of his skull--since he was bald, they were noticeable--ending up below his eyes. "No, I told you! My name is Sirius! The brightest star!" the boy shouted as he pointed his finger towards the sky. The shimmering sea of the universe, although unfamiliar compared to the one he was used to, was the only thing that made the boy feel nostalgic about his former world. If only that geezer stopped calling him Astar, it would be great. "Astar!" the man repeated as he shook his head and pointing toward the sky too. "No, I am Sirius!"

"Because you are not from here, I will show you the nicest view of the city. This is the unique location where you can see the stars from all sides. When the stars shine brightly in the sky, their reflections fall into the water and form the other half of the sky. Wasn't it lovely?" "Yeah, it does look beautiful." "People have different perspectives on me, and I can't deny that because that's how I appear in their eyes," I added. "I'm friends with everyone because I don't want to be left alone. I despise being alone." "I come here whenever I'm lonely." I'll stop feeling alone if I stand near the railing and look up at the stars above me. Because I will be surrounded by stars. This is where I

Others would say that it is a red dwarf, a classification of the types of stars that exist... Many would still say that it is what gives life to Earth... For me, the Sun is something greater, something that has brought me Light in times of Darkness, it is what has made me continue to have faith in the Gods, the One who blessed me and accepted me as I am... The Sun can be welcoming or simply burn everything!

We were tucked away in our usual corner, sitting on the carpet with our backs resting against the bookshelf. It had somehow become our place over the weeks. Yvonne opened the astronomy book again; this time, she turned it towards me. “Look” It was a page filled with tiny dots of stars and planets. Her finger landed on one bright star near the top of the page. “That's my favourite” I leaned closer to the page, feeling something like current run through my body. “Is... is that the North star? Yvonne nodded enthusiastically, her eyes were so bright with mirth. “Yeah, it is”
