“Goddess above… just like her.” She stood abruptly, unable to contain the trembling of her hands. “We must go to Dean.” Liora rose quickly, her stomach a knot of fear and confusion. “What does it mean?” she asked, her voice quivering. “Am I… am I your daughter? Or just—just a girl with a mark cursed to carry something I do not understand?” Loretta reached for her, cupping her cheek with a trembling hand. “You are no curse, child. You are destiny.”

“Get her up.” “She is gone, Quinn.” Georgia sobbed into her mother’s chest. It wasn’t possible, Nix thought. For Willow to die would leave such a void in the world. Fresh tears started to stream down her face. Why would The Goddess bring Falling Feather back only to take Willow? Faith didn’t see death around her mother; she said the souls were dancing.

He was sitting alone on one side, while Liam and Jonathan sat on the other. "Looks like you're the one who's most excited!" I replied, taking a seat next to him, facing Annie. "I've been waiting for this day since I was born. My destiny is just a few hours away," he said, grinning from ear to ear. Destiny isn’t always what we expect or want, I thought to myself. Nicolas would understand, but he wasn’t at the table, and I didn’t have the courage to ask about him out loud. "And what about you, gorgeous? Still feeling anxious?" Liam asked Annie.

Carla froze for a moment, then quickly rushed downstairs to open the door. As expected, an elderly man with a refined aura stood outside, slowly shaking his head with a sigh. Carla stared at him in shock. The fortune teller walked inside and said, "Give me the straw." Amanda quickly handed it over. He took one look and said calmly, "The soul belonging to the long straw is no longer in that body. He may be dead, or he may be asleep. Either way, he is gone."

"Beelzebub" "please spare her life," Destiny pleaded with tears in her beautiful blue ocean eyes. Though I had intended to punish both Destiny and June, I found myself unable to hurt her. Instead, I transferred my aggression to her friend June, knowing how much June meant to her. But seeing Destiny beg at my feet, crying, shattered my heart. I couldn't bear it any longer, so I softened my grip on June, allowing her to breathe again. "Thank you," I heard Destiny whisper, and I left them.

“We shouldn’t waste it, expensive stuff this.” Destiny put the glass down on the end table by the window and took her vanity case. “I’m going to change in the bathroom.” “No need to be shy, Sugar. Nothing that I haven’t seen and enjoyed.” I winked at her, and she slammed the bathroom door. Here we go. I downed my drink and pulled off my clothes. Then I threw my naked self down onto the scattered rose petals, lying with my head propped on my palm, waiting for Destiny. I was proud of my body. I was fit and well-muscled in all the right places. Irresistible even.

Of destiny. The void is no longer empty.

Destiny has a lot of names, fate, future, divine decree, gods will. Some people say it's karma and some say it’s just coincidences. I never believed in any of those but after that day I didn’t know what to say. I just want to say one thing that I learned from things that happened after that day, you will have to scatter all the pieces first if you want to assemble the jigsaw puzzle perfectly. Life or fate or whatever you want to call it, it has a beautiful way of smearing paint on the canvas only to make an extraordinary piece of art.

Chapter One Destiney BEEP! BEEP! BEEP! I reach over to hit my alarm to make the annoying sound stop. I really hate mornings, but like every other young adult in this world we need to wake up, get our education and go off into this world to make a living for ourselves. And I get to be one of those lucky people who gets to do just that. My name is Destiney, and I am a senior in high school, and I live with my parents, but they are hardly ever around but when they are they try to be the best parents, they are both workaholics, but they try, and I can’t fault them for that. They give me anything I could ever dream of.
