I said angrily and ended the call and threw my phone on my bed as tension-filled my whole being. My phone vibrated and I picked it up. The Devil: ‘A man can dream, Evelyn. And I will never stop dreaming of having you on your knees in front of me. But just so you know, I will never force you to do something you’re not comfortable with. I am a man of my word. But if in case you feel lonely and cold at night, I would be more glad to be of service and keep you warm.’ ME: ‘Just go on dreaming because it won’t happen.’

“You should have thought twice before trying to make a deal with the devil. Once you make a deal with the devil, there's no going back." His voice is so deep and husky. Is he referring to himself as a devil? I can't help but think that he's one. His presence alone is ready to make you tremble in fear. I still wonder where I got the courage to ask this man to be my boyfriend. I always saw him from a distance and the only day I was close to him was the day I asked him to be my boyfriend. I saw a surprised look that flickered in his eyes. I'm sure he was surprised that a girl like me wants to make a deal with him.

That night she came to dinner wearing shorts, she looked so fucking sexy and I wanted to send every one of my men out of the dining room and fuck the shit out of her on the dining table but I quickly brushed the thought off because what the fuck. Watching her sleep so peacefully made my heart start beating differently, I didn’t even know that shit still works. In my ‘line of work’, people refer to me as The Devil and I love that nickname. My hand involuntarily reached out to tuck a strand of her hair but I stopped and got up when I heard Gio come in. Thank God he didn’t see that. “Oh, why is our princess sleeping on a couch?” Gio said “Don’t know, don’t care” I answered as I loosened my tie

“Of course he does. The Devil always does.” He blinked at her, unsure if she was joking. She leaned in slightly, adjusting the collar near his neck as she whispered, “Listen to me, cher garçon. The Devil cannot be understood, nor can he be coerced. You may think he loves, you may think he destroys, but really, it is all the same to him. It is all just… instinct.” Her eyes flicked toward Kain, who was now idly folding a page from one of his documents into neat, exact creases. “Keep your guard, mon ange. Always. You will be fine if you remember that.”

he said finally, his voice low, a whisper that sent shivers down her spine, “you will learn that ownership is absolute. And the sooner you accept it… the less painful it will be.” Her hands balled into fists. Anger and fear warred within her. “this place is worse than hell” she whispered, though even she could hear the uncertainty in her own voice. He stepped back, watching her, his expression unreadable, perfectly composed. “Hell?” he said softly. “that was just a reminder that you were owned by a devil, don't let me show you how I punish those who try to defy me. That is all. In time, Yesha Elaine, you will understand that obedience is safe… and that resistance is nothing but illusion.”

While he found himself falling into it, a hand quickly gripped around his hard and tight. Gently, that same hand pulled him up, straight back to his balance. And it was the devil herself.

I breathed out, taking a seat beside him. “ Who would've thought that Rico could something so evil?” He remarked, his face twisted in disgust. I chuckled sadly— I was just as surprised as him, it was as though something possessed him or something because the Rico I knew was very delicate. Now I'm finding out that he worked for a cult and that he'd always wanted Alex dead. For someone who told me he loved me. It was a lot to take in. “ I guess we shouldn't judge a book by it's cover.” I replied, my memories going back to the time when Rico made my heart race, when he made emotions swirl within me but now, all I felt was rage. I hated him so much.

I felt his knuckle rings glide against my torso, his hand traveling up to pin my neck to the wall again almost as if he was claiming me. A stranger claiming a random lady. How unreal. “I can be your poison. I can be the one they fear. For you.” He whispered, his lip brushing against my earlobe. "I'll give you the power you desire, and take them down for you,”. "What are you talking about?” I gagged. "I can see your heart, it craves revenge. I'll get them for you, I'll get them all, just for you. Chloe Willie. Seth Finn. Martha Wilson. All of them.”.

DOOM’S POV My shoulder still throbbed like a bastard, but I refused to let it show. I swapped my usual suits for a simple black shirt and a pair of tailored shorts, unbuttoned just enough to tease. It was warm tonight, and Sally liked casual Doom, something about seeing the devil without armor made her smile, maybe because it made her feel closer. The dining room lights were dimmed low, casting a golden warmth across the mahogany table. Candlelight flickered beside the fine china, and soft instrumental jazz hummed from the walls. I had told the staff to stay far away, tonight was ours.
