The Devil's Name Novels & Stories

“How audacious of you, Dave! You served me divorce papers after betraying me all over again, and yet you have the guts to feel like your opinion of feelings matters to me anymore? How dare you?” Dave stepped closer. “No, how dare you? I forbid it! You can get married to anyone but him! Do you even know who you’re getting married to? Aren’t you aware of his nickname?? He’s nicknamed ‘Devil’ for a reason. He's the Devil's own incarnate, so for your own sake, don’t do something stupid and ridiculous.” He paused for a moment. “If you still respect me a little, you’ll listen to me.”

The man was a Fallen Devil! A Fallen Devil was a Cultivator who had been infected by Devil Qi, or had strayed into the Devil's Practice for some reason. He would possess the strengths of both an Immortal and a Devil.

I glanced at Ruth, whose eyes were dark with rage, her body trembling with anger. This time, the devil turned to Annabella. She laughed lightly. "Oh, me? I’m Annabella. And you are?" His gaze lingered on her, filled with longing. "Oh dear, my name is Drake." he replied, flashing a charming smile. Drake? She patted the devil on the shoulder. "Really, Drake? How does a devil come by that name?" He chuckled in a deep voice. "Well, I didn't have a name, so I decided to call myself Drake." he admitted sheepishly.

They were all those things until I saw their other side. It was never my intention to cross paths with the devil. I was only a naïve nineteen year old, living a life that circulated around fame and money. Then, out of the blue, the devil came for me, or should I call him The King— which is a name he prefers to be addressed as. He showed up on a calm evening, and turned my entire life upside down; he turned it into a disaster. He put me under his spell, making me fall deeper and deeper into his sinful charm. Then at the end, when he had gotten all that he needed from me, he devoured.

“ Rico please, let me go with him.” Rico's eyes moved to me, tears damping his orbs. “ I can't lose you…” he whispered, his voice breaking. “ I can't lose you either…” I took a small breath, calming the tears which threatened to roll down my cheeks. “ So please put the gun down.” Slowly, he retracted, his hands falling to the ground. Alex sighed. “ I thought you had guts.” Then he turned and took my hand. “ Shall we?” I nodded as I looked at him with all the hatred I could muster. I thought those rumors weren't true, but they were and this man was evil, a devil in human flesh.

Patrick says, he’s the head of the small gang. “I’m Devil you idiot” I reply, why can’t he get my name correctly, why does he always mess it up, it’s not that hard, I’m the Devil, not some lone demon. “Yes, yes, Satan himself,” he says with a smirk, I glared at him, god I hate him. “Why is it my lucky day?” I ask licking my lips. “You got bought!” he says with an evil laugh. “I’m sorry, but I don’t think you got the memo, I’m a loner” I say between gritted teeth.

I’d seen enough death for my mind to fill in the blanks. “We know it was The Devil, because of the name on the list?” I ask, shifting in my seat. Chels hums. And then she shoves something under my nose, a photo of something. I pluck it and bring it close to my face to be able to make out the blackened caricature of the devil. Two horns on a round face, a fork for tail. A shivered gasp leaves me. “The Devil’s calling card.” She nods. Only very proud killers stake their claims so proudly. All these while, The Devil hadn’t staked a claim to any of his kills. Not one.

Two seconds later, they were lying dead on the ground. The man cried to run away which made my blood boil the more. “Lycans don't run from battles, isn't that the first thing they teach you?” I sneered, using my foot to crush his leg. “Who are you?” He growled, his expression filled with pain. “Me?” I paused, crouching down beside him. “People call me…The devil,” my expression flickered to seriousness. “Welcome to hell.”

The air was thick with tension, but I remained steadfast, my posture unwavering. My fists remained clenched, my muscles tensed and ready to strike at a moment's notice. I knew I had the upper hand, and I was determined to keep it that way. The men before me seemed to sense my resolve, and they hesitated, their weapons wavering in their hands. My voice boomed through the silence, cold and detached. "My name is Derek. Code name - The Devil. And I will give each and every one of you a chance to live."

If I want to have a baby, I can have it with anyone, not her; the child born to her is not known as a ghost or a demon. I shivered at Vincent's callous words; I stared at him in fear without blinking. "Is that the word of a human?" Vincent smirked, his whole body covered in ice. "You always call me the devil, don't you?" I turned my head and saw Aboli with his eyes closed, his whole body drooping like a lamp that had run out of oil. My mind went blank, I didn't even think about it, so I rushed to bite Vincent's toned arm hard. Not only did I bite, but I also tried to chew it like it was my food.
