I let myself fall deep into my zone with red in my sight. “Gaetano, do you understand why they say never make a deal with The Devil?” I interrupted his laugh. He looked at me with narrowed eyes as I blew out the cigarette smoke into the night sky. I flicked the bud away and met his gaze, giving him a devilish smirk. “I’m about to show you why.” I drew my guns out at the same time men jumped out from the wooden crates. And a war with fire began.

She pointed at my neck and my eyes widened. I rushed to look at my reflection in the mirror and there was a huge spot on my neck. It wasn't blue or anything. But the redness of it was showing how recent it is. Fuck my Dracula husband! Embarrassment kissed my cheeks and I laughed awkwardly. "Please help me with this." I said to the makeup artist and she immediately took care of it for me. "What the hell!" Realisation sank in, "I walk in front of all the cameras looking like this?" I groaned and threw my head in my palms.

The Earl shrieked in wonder, "You call her a maiden! She is no maiden. She's a thief! A mercenary, unbelievable thief!" He continued barking while he walked backwards away from them, "She handed her drink to the Earl of Vetcom, said things too daring for any normal Scottish woman and stole food. You would not call such person a mai…" He found himself staggering suddenly, noticing he was just at the edge of a ditch, one he didn't notice because he was too busy shouting. While he found himself falling into it, a hand quickly gripped around his hard and tight. Gently, that same hand pulled him up, straight back to his balance. And it was the devil herself.

She wondered as her eyes roamed around the room but it was void. She shrugged as her mind went to the last night scene and she covered her cheek. She couldn't believe she had lost what she has been keeping but she never regretted it. She raised the duvet up to check if she could see the blood stains but it was clean. "What!?. I bled last night!" She mumbled as she checked thoroughly. Then it dawned on her on noticing the change of colour on the spread. He had changed the sheet. She palmed her face as she didn't notice when Lucifer came in.

My eyes were beginning to blur away replacing my vision with nothing but redness, all the surroundings, Ralph, the light all disappeared replacing my sight with the color red. " What the hell! You're a demon!" I turned deaf ears to him while my body began to be in this sudden ignition mode. I felt myself lifting off the floor and my body moving in swift motions as if prepared for destruction. My ears itch badly as it badly ache me as if a sword was being pierced in my ears and at the same time on fire. " Shit! Drive the car, hurry!"

DOOM’S POV My shoulder still throbbed like a bastard, but I refused to let it show. I swapped my usual suits for a simple black shirt and a pair of tailored shorts, unbuttoned just enough to tease. It was warm tonight, and Sally liked casual Doom, something about seeing the devil without armor made her smile, maybe because it made her feel closer. The dining room lights were dimmed low, casting a golden warmth across the mahogany table. Candlelight flickered beside the fine china, and soft instrumental jazz hummed from the walls. I had told the staff to stay far away, tonight was ours.

Even the devil had a level of fear for the goddess, so there was no way he could've been the perpetrator. It was in this moment that Lucas began to regret all the decisions he had made so far. If he hadn't been weak from all the energy he had used up while the flame was eating him alive, he could've easily tapped into her memory, and retrieved the information he needed. But now he couldn't do any of that, because tapping into his power would mean awakening the flame. After hours of pondering, Lucas decided to confront the devil. "If anyone would know, it would be him." With that thought in mind, he wore a red cloak, and left.

As I rounded a corner near the courtyard, the sound of loud, frustrated voices made me pause. Devon was standing there, surrounded by his usual group of sycophants and friends. He was nursing his bruised arm, his face twisted in a dark, embarrassed scowl. “I’m telling you, it was a total fluke.” Devon barked, slamming his good fist against the stone wall. “The bitch got lucky. That's all it was.” “I don't know, man,” one of his friends muttered, shifting uncomfortably. “She had you pinned pretty good. And that weird light from her hands...”

She pulls another from the pack and retrieves a lighter too, setting the white stick into red dotted flame. Sebastian comes in view from the green metal door, seeing Laurel holding a stick of cigarette on one hand. He suddenly feels empathy for her and all his distrust washes away in the wind. He had misjudged her in every way. He had thought her to be made of stone to the core and maybe twelve years had changed her from the lovely girl her parents described her to be into some cold hearted bitch.

He stroked his shaved chin as he scrutinized her. He noticed she didn’t look as sick as she was earlier, and he was fascinated by how her white hair turned silvery as the morning light struck it. Also, by the way, her cherry-coloured lips curved into a smile. He found it titillating, since he couldn’t stop thinking about what he would do to her as soon as they got to Cherview. “I was trying to picture you in armour. It’s kind of absurd.” Said Janice, giggling. She wrinkled her nose and thrust her head further out of the window to let the cool air caress her face.
