I spat, closing the distance. Devon turned, cool and unhurried. “He plots against me. With you.” “Because you’re hollowed out!” I shoved his chest. He didn’t budge. “The real Devon wouldn’t burn his own pack for fear.” His hand shot out, slamming me back against the stone railing. Cold bit into my spine. “Careful, little wife. I could throw you over right now.” “Do it then!” I grabbed his collar, yanking him closer until our faces nearly touched. “Or admit the witch gutted you. Tell me what you traded.”

I only knew who they were by scent because I didn’t bother to look in their direction. That doesn’t stop me either though as I put my claws at his stomach and slowly dig in, “Maybe you’re the one who should watch the way you talk to a Turned wolf,” my claws slip deeper and deeper but he doesn’t so much as flex his abs. “Especially when you have no information on them,” he still doesn’t move an inch the whole time as I retract my claws and scape upwards a bit. I didn’t go too deep, he’ll heal in seconds from what I’ve learned from Star.

That was one of the things he found beautiful about her. She looked up and spotted him. For a brief second, there was surprise in her gaze, but it vanished just as quickly. “I just got in,” she said smoothly, brushing past him as if she knew he was there for her and she wasn't ready to talk to him. “Give me ten minutes. I’ll freshen up and meet you in the living room.” He turned slightly as she passed him. His eyes catching a glimpse of something at the edge of her sleeve, barely visible under the cuff of her coat, was a dark splash of red. Blood.

Twitching and breathless, I fell flat on the bed. Devon pulled me back to my knees. From behind, he re-entered me and went to work. His stamina was unbelievable! I could get used t this or better yet how could I ever forget it. A half hour later, Devon was finally done. Breathing hard, he collapsed on top of me. I smiled and bruched a dark curl from his face. I was ready for round two. "Zari, no turning back. Right? Baby now do you see that what we have is so special." He said still breathing hard.
