I ignored her, stepping closer to Darius, my voice dropping to a dangerous tone. “What game are you playing, Darius? Speak plainly, or I’ll—”
“Enough,” he interrupted, his voice cutting through mine like a blade. “This isn’t about you, Kael. This is about her.”
He turned his piercing gaze on Diamond, who froze under its weight.
“Me?” she echoed, her voice faltering.
