She beamed at the compliment, just like I knew she would.
“I believe a toast is in order,” Diana said as she lifted her Champaign flute.
She also grabbed a fork and began clinking it against her glass, drawing the attention of those nearby.
“I just wanted to say that I am so proud of my daughter for all her accomplishments, and now that she’s going to be queen, her accomplishments will shine through,” Diana said proudly. “To Sophia and King Leopold and their happy union.”
