Her words hit him like a blow. She turned away, her shoulders trembling, and for the first time since we’d arrived, I saw exhaustion in her posture.
I stepped forward, glaring at Damon. “You heard her. Get the hell out of my territory before I make good on every reason I have to kill you.”
Damon’s gaze flicked to Eliana once more, lingering with that strange look of recognition again—like he saw something he couldn’t name. Then he wiped the blood from his mouth and smiled faintly.
