Didi Dexter Laboratory Novels & Stories

Jade After the unexpected attack on the pack, Darius and I wasted no time organising meetings with scientists. Now, five days later, we found ourselves in a secret laboratory that seemed more like a fortress than a workplace. The lab was bathed in cold, sterile white light, the kind that left everything sharp and cold. It stretched wide, with rows of polished metal counters lined with vials, wires, and gleaming weapon prototypes that looked as deadly as they were sophisticated. Scientists in pristine lab coats moved around like ghosts, focused and determined, their heads bent over blueprints or screens flickering with code, adjusting equipment that hummed quietly with raw power. This place w

“Lexi, what are you talking about? I don’t know what…” “Don’t play games with me,” I snapped, stepping closer, “Dexter is gone. He was in his bed last night and now he is gone. You’re the only one who would dare touch him after the dumbass stunt you pulled with the freezer.” Clara’s lips shook, her brows coming together. “I don’t understand. I have been here all night. Why would I hurt him? You think I want to harm your children? Lexi, I swear, I have no idea what you’re saying.”

I muttered That wasn’t exactly a lie. “When I go back, I’ll do my check-up and find out if the headache is getting worse.” Dexter stared at me for a few seconds. I couldn’t tell what was going through his head. Then he nodded.“Okay.” I had added the part about seeing a doctor when I returned home to prevent him from bringing anything like this up again. He returned his attention to the road while I turned toward the window. ******* Dexter parked in front of what happened to be a huge toy shop. A big sign above the building read:

The idea of Ceres being with him—being with anyone but me—made my blood run hot. The world around me dimmed, my vision narrowing to her. She was Mine. I narrowed my eyes as I took in Dexter, assessing him with barely concealed disdain. So this was who Ceres was with. Dexter… an actor under my company, Prestige Entertainment. I had acquired the company years ago, and despite every opportunity handed to him, Dexter had failed to make a name for himself. He was reckless, impulsive—a troublemaker who had faded into near obscurity. No matter how much he was pushed, he couldn’t rise.

He replied and Lucy smiled. “Xavier knows too. Kaylen told me he knows.” Kaylee said and Clara chuckled. “Yeah, he knows.” She laughed and Lucy also did. ~ Dexter walked around the warehouse as he inspected the activities that were going on. It was Clara’s job but he decided to do it for her since she just got back from a trip. The warehouse belonged to someone in the organization, most properties of Clara are back home in Australia. Dexter leaned on the wall and folded his arms as he watched them, he was about to get lost in thought when one of his men interrupted him.

Dexter commands and instantly the room is as silent as a graveyard. "There is a rat inside the company, so we're going to find them, and I just hope whoever is out there or here in this room with us, is ready to take care of them, because I hate rats."

Adela had thought long and hard before finally asking the question. She liked Layson—naturally, she wanted to understand more about him. But when she saw Dexter’s stunned expression, the anxiety in her heart only grew stronger. “What’s wrong? Did something come to mind?” Dexter quickly concealed the flash of shock in his eyes. He scooped a spoonful of his herbal soup and finally replied in a low voice, “I vaguely remember something. I think I was under ten at the time, so I’m not entirely sure. But this isn’t something you should bring up in the Norman family.”

But before I could ask any questions, Derek continued. "Dexter and I were roommates in college," he explained. "He's now a successful psychiatrist, and I've been wanting to bring you to meet him for ages." I shook Dexter's hand, trying to play along despite my growing confusion. "Nice to meet you," I said, trying to sound polite. Dexter smiled warmly and nodded. "The pleasure is all mine," he said. "Please, follow me." He led us to his office, a spacious room with a large desk and a comfortable-looking couch. The walls were lined with books and certificates, and a large window let in a flood of natural light.

“That's exactly what I want to ask, Alpha. Are you okay with spending your precious time like this?” Dexter leaned forward slightly, his smile reappearing, cold and piercing. “That's why I'm doing it. Because I'm serious. And you know, only important things can steal my time.” The tension in the air thickened, like two predators measuring the distance before pouncing. After an exchange of words that resembled a sword duel more than a conversation, a convoy of black vehicles lined up outside the mansion and headed for the laboratory that Dexter had prepared. Gilbert, after a moment's consideration, finally complied without comment.

"You're staring at the wall as if it owes you money." I pulled out a chair, the legs scraping loudly against concrete. "Just appreciating the decor. Very bunker chic." No one laughed. Fair enough. "We need to talk about the extraction point," Tessa said one of the warriors under Max sliding a hand drawn map across the table. Her finger landed on a warehouse district near the docks. "Dexter's last three shipments went through here. If Lily's information is solid, this was where he took her to." "It is," Lily interrupted, too fast, too sharp. She caught herself, lowering her gaze. "I mean... I was locked up on the top with other girls, I might not remember clearly but it's the one closer to El
