He rolls his eyes but smirks.
A guy in a white coat — lab coat crisp, hair perfectly combed, looking wildly out of place among a room full of armed men — feeds each DNA stick into a compact machine that whirs to life. It’s apparently a PCR, centrifuge, and hell knows what else all crammed into one box, but to me? It’s a gadget. A very expensive, very science-y gadget.
Lights blink. A soft mechanical spin. Data transfers.
Across the bunker, screens light up as our names appear next to glowing dots on a digital map.
