Kitanna took it without hesitation. "So warm…" she noted, feeling up his hands. Dante gave a cheeky smile. She rolled her eyes, poking him playfully. "You look innocent and meek, but you're so cocky." "It's okay. I welcome all compliments," he grinned and she pinched his cheek. "You're so cute. You look like a cub." "A cub? Here I thought I was a Pombero," Dante chuckled. Kitanna stopped, reading between the lines. "Don't be silly. If you were, they wouldn't dare raise a finger at you. Half of them would have been dead," She stated.

I saw his same group of friends from last week walking around to the front of the diner, waving at me and smiling as they went. “I just found him and he’s already my best friend,” I held the kitten up for him to see. Chris pets his little head, then kisses his nose, making me almost swoon. It was such a sweet gesture. He takes the kitten from my hands and examines his belly. “Well, he is a she. And she has ringworm,” he tells me, pointing to a round crusty spot on its tummy. “I bet that’s why she was left here. It’s contagious. We should probably disinfect our faces and hands now,” he laughs, setting the kitten back in the box and picking the whole thing up.

There’s one door that is shut, that door leads up to the bedroom. "This is my home, there's only one bedroom so ma'am you take my bedroom and Suki and I will stay in the living room." He picks up the small dog which is circling around his leg. "It's cute." She says looking at the dog. "Yeah she's Suki, she's a great companion." He says kissing the dog. She smiles and slowly sits on the couch holding her head. There is a hammering pain in her head, maybe it is because of all the stress and crying. "Do you have a headache?" He puts the dog down. "No um.. yeah a little bit." She looks up at him. "Okay you sit here I will be back." He walks away and disappears in the kitchen area.

It was a video call request from Damien. Slightly cheered by his name flashing across her screen, Flora picked up the call. The line crackled for a moment, the image going blurry, before it settled on Damien sitting in an armchair. The soft yellow light of a nearby lampshade bathed him in a warm glow. He grinned as soon as he saw her, and Whiskerton, Flora’s ginger kitten, was nestled at the crook of his neck. Flora thought the kitten was asleep at first, until its emerald eyes blinked open and it let out a surprised meow, pawing at the screen. Damien chuckled, gently petting the animal. "Look who missed you, Flora," he said, his voice as smooth as honey.

She pointed towards the living room, and Tarrin, not bothering to take his shoes off, stormed off in that direction. “LINUX, YOU HAVE 10 Sec-,” Tarrin’s voice got caught in his throat when he saw it. Linux was sitting on the couch, holding the most adorable milk chocolate-colored kitten Tarrin had ever seen. Its tiny mew brought Tarrin out of his loss for words. “What is it doing here, Linux?” Holding the tiny kitten up as it mewed louder, Linux replied, “It has two broken legs. I can’t just leave it at the clinic for the night! Isn’t she just so adorable? She’s even chocolate-colored. That's such a rarity, Tarrin!”

She told us. “Kitten, are you trying to ask for another kitten?” I asked. “Not exactly. One of the kittens is grey with darker grey stripes. She looks like a little tiger, but she was also born without a tail and is half as big as the others. She was also born without one eye. Gloria’s sister told Zoe that the veterinarian told her that it was a natural birth defect and that the kitten is healthy otherwise, but they don’t think anyone would want her because of how she looks.” Taelin added.
