A deliberate clearing of a throat broke the spell, and we both turned to find Brad watching us. “Ready for takeoff?” he asked with a smile. “Ready,” we answered at the same time. “Jinx,” Jacob whispered in my ear. I laughed. I hadn’t even thought about the jinx. I’d been too focused on the surprise. “Fair enough,” I replied with a grin. “What’s your wish?” “You’ll see…” he said, taking my hand as we followed the instructions. I meant more like wild, like a beast, like an animal " I said, looking at his hairy body. Mer-man usually didn't have much hair, in fact, they didn't have hair on their back or chest. He has two sets of green eyes a pointed nose, a little mustache right above two pouted pink lips.

Through the gate is what appears to be a throne room. A large wise looking old merman sits on top of the throne. His skin is a deep green and his beard is like squid tentacles and kelp poking in and out of each other. I can see the octopus on his face. He carries a large black trident. He swims down to greet us.
