Divine Temptations

Divine Temptations

She realized Henry was crucifying himself by giving his life to the priesthood to wash off his guilt, but there she was, all she had in mind was to have him by hook or by crook. On the other hand, alone in the darkened room, Henry stared at the empty doorway, his mind swirling with uncertainty. Was this really the life he was meant to live? Was his penance truly the only way forward, or was there something else—some other path—calling him? Khana’s words echoed in his mind, louder than he wanted them to. 'Was this what God had wanted for him?'

I Never Hated You

I Never Hated You

It was mentioned when he was welcomed onstage to come give his talk, but I didn't take note of it, I didn't take note of anything until I saw him up on that stage. “ Dante”, he said, making his pronunciation so poetic, “ wow. That's new. Not like in an eerie way, I just mean that it's the first time I've seen someone with the name. What's the origin?” “ It's Italian”. “ Yes, I knew I had heard the name somewhere. Dante Alighieri, the author of the Divine Comedy, he's Italian”, he was smiling widely at the realization and I just smiled along, completely confused about what he was talking about. Who was Dante Alighieri? What is The Divine Comedy? A book? “ But then, are you Italian in any way,

“Actually….I didn't… well I haven't.” “You haven't what?” The title I couldn't read it, it wasn't very clear,” I said hoping I was right, it was an old book after all and there was no title on the thick back so maybe it had faded. “Really? Let me see,” he said, stretching his hand towards me. I handed him the book and he opened it to the front page. “Ooh! La Divina Commedia, it's an Italian classic…how couldn't you read this? It's very clear,” he asked, his eyebrows furrowed.

Finding nothing of importance to her, she moved on to the next drawer, the notes and documents in here compared to the one from the previous drawer looked worn. "The Vanquishing of Dracula, The Unopposed Notion of the Roman Ruling? Huh."

Vampire of the New World

Vampire of the New World

Jon had no idea what his client looked like and could not remember talking to him. "Dante… Dante…" Jon murmured as he recalled the 14th century Italian writer and his Divine Comedy. There were three parts to the epic poem, but for some reason, Jon only thought of the first one – Inferno. The images of hell flooded his mind – tormented souls that reside in the nine circles of hell. For a moment, he thought he could hear cries of anguish and pain as well as see writhing bodies amidst the red flames and scorching heat.

Captain Cook
Excellent book! Plenty of suspense with vivid descriptions of locations and characters! I've reached Chapter 169 and didn't see any issues. I hope the author updates soon with new chapters! Great work!
Bella Moondragon
This is an extremely well-written book. Of all the books I’ve read on the platform, this author’s command of the English language is the best. The story is great and reminds me a lot of Bram Stoker’s Dracula.
